God creation, privately owned by the Peter's family since the 1800s so they can charge 20 bucks a person for people to see it... this should be a publicly owned park... if od created it, no fame should be allowed to own it.

I usually don't think of boardwalks as hiking, but for public safety and conservation purposes I think it's a good call. Makes for some nice overlooks too.

Look like an absolutely beautiful place and seeing fall colors with all those waterfalls there. Like how they used tree branch railings on those wooden walkways and lots of steps! Awesome video!

This is so beautiful and amazing, but I kinda am fond of Rickets Glen State Park. I camped at Rickets Glen twice in my life, and it's just astounding. The winery at the top of the mountain makes the camping experience,and falls even more awesome. I need to find your video of you at Rickets Glen. Love your videos. All are awesome. I love nature and I love history.

I was there in 2011 months after a hurricane. The falls were so fabulous then, but there were trees down and some of the trails were closed. But I do remember two specific things that day. One was that there were a lot of giant millipedes. And the other thing was that we hiked a trail to an awesome overlook that was breathtaking. I agree that the park service does a great job of taking care of the place. Thanks for taking me back!

I was there back in y2k. I would have bet that neither the ‘boardwalk’ nor log fencing were there... Until I read the comment about a less touristy Falls, I started to think that I was 1 sandwich short of a picnic. Seems that people really do spread the word about a good thing 🇺🇸

@samanthab19235 жыл бұрын
Chris Chris Why was the water 💦 red?
@chrischris74625 жыл бұрын
It really wasn't the water that was red, but all the rocks and the creek bed was a rusty redest brown color ,and it was every were around the water.

DJinNJ08830 Oh sorry 😐 I stand corrected. I guess they have to charge a fee to maintain it. I know they closed the trails up by Jim Thorpe. Too costly for EMT etc. Shame.

Hi Cliff, what a stunning location, very beautiful. Not sure how I feel about the board walks being made out of cut down trees but it does make the place safer for children and prettier than metal rails. I think it's bad that you have to pay for an area that should be free for everyone.Thanks for sharing. x

A very beautiful place WW and Thank You for the visit! I was there years ago and don't recall all the walk ways and stairs. But in the modern era of suing people for about everything, I suppose the stairs and railings are now legally necessary. I can see the $15 entry with all the multi trillions of steps and walkways. Quite an engineering example. I know I exaggerate a bit but to build and maintain all that must be a huge expense. The other beautiful thing is the absence of paint on trees and rocks. It is funny as well how people will throw their coins into places like this or some fountain in a mall. A good example of the importance placed on money. This natural place doesn't need money but humans need places like this, those we haven't destroyed. Like Joni Mitchell says in her song, put trees in a museum and people pay a dollar and a half just to see em. A beautiful place to protect forever. Seems you may have surpassed your record of the 1000 steps video? Must be that and more there. All this video reminds me of stopping at places in the mountains when I was a kid with my family. I loved those little shops in those beautiful places. All the red cedar trinkets, tooth pick holders, pencil holders and pencil boxes and so much more. My favorite was the Indian stuff, as is said. And the gag dept. those little rubber bulbs that made a rubber spider of frog jump when you squeezed the bulb. Still a gag king to this day. But those little mom and pop shops are few and far between anymore. Pity! But at least some of those same natural places still exsist. A Great Journey WW and I appreciate your sharing it with us! Peace and Many Many more miles of trails in the Natural Beauty of Mother Earth! DaveyJO
