Marvel 90s animated universe > MCU. This finale made me want the 90s animated universe more than ever. Watching this series has reminded me y i fell in love with marvel and comics in general. Seeing Peter and MJ, Cap, Iron man, Dr strange, cloak and dagger, Daredevil and T'chaka black panther all together helping just brought me so much joy. I guess we're not getting onslaught next season? I'm excited for what they're gonna do with apocalypse. I wonder who sent them back in time and why. For the first time in a long time we don't know wats gonna happen next at all. Anything goes and i love that cuz instead of getting spoiled by leaks and stuff we're going in blind which means we can all theorize and actually enjoy the story

I feel marvel should just use disney plus to put more 90s marvel universe shows rather than spinoff mcu series Not only spiderman the aninted series but also make all new marvel series set in this universe -midnight suns -cloak and dagger -guardians of galaxy -indiviual series of certain heroes And others they can do alot with this universe While marvel studios does their thing with the mcu focuing being shown in theatres

I was expecting Onslaught first but it looks like Age of Apocalypse is coming first and i'm all for it. It literally showed him in past, present and that future is eventually coming. As for cameo's.. I was also happy that Pete found MJ again. This episode was perfect *chef's kiss* 10/10

I wasn’t watching X-Men ‘97. I binged it leading up to this finale. Holy shit, what a series. X-Men ‘97 is a masterpiece, and it is my favorite thing Marvel has done. I am eternally grateful to all the production crew and actors who brought X-Men ‘97 to life. What a masterpiece of a series.

What an episode! All the cameos, Peter & MJ!, Dr. Strange, Cloak & Dagger, Daredevil, Alpha Flight, Psylocke, Black Panther, Scarlet Witch, Quicksilver, Polaris and more. There is so much they do can going forward. Plus I'm even more hyped we are getting both the Age of Apocalypse and Onslaught Saga. I'm not ready. X-Men 97 is without a doubt the best thing Marvel has done in years, maybe even bigger than Avenger's End Game. Rogue going all out again, leading to an epic fight on the Blue Side of the Moon. Cyclops doing the Super Optic Blast from MvC, and even Jubliee has time to shine and be a badass. Plus that ending... the Birth of Apocalypse himself and Scott and Jean's adventure in the future as Redd and Slim! The only sad part is we have to wait another year or 2 for Season 2 to find out what happens next.

Sounds like Apocalypse is the villain of season 2. Great news over here. He was my favorite villain and we never got to see him vs Phoenix. Now, maybe we will. I think Onslaught waits until season 3. We may see hints of it in season 2.

I like it! I just wondered who took magneto’s helmet off of Xavier 😂.. guess the writers forgot. I think onslaught at the end of season 3.. regarding the gambit card and apocalypse I think in the present they will have a new X-men team to fight the horsemen of apocalypse while the others do whatever needs to be done in the time line that they’re in. Its possible that apocalypse is messing with the axis of time again

To be fair they probably would have no chance vs Onslaught right now..this show is Amazing. It proves you could go into this without previously seeing the classic show..I’ve been checking out DC’s infinite crisis(have been confused and bored at times) and it truly feels like you have to be familiar with the story it’s based on in order to really appreciate it….that’s not the case with this show. X-Men ‘97 was well worth the wait! 11/10 👏🏽👏🏽

That one was pretty fun, but the Storm episode was kinda pointless. In fact you could have removed Storm entirely from the series and not much would have been lost, just a few great quotes.

I think the purpose of Storm’s mini arc was to explore the ideas of forced assimilation, fear of being different, and finding strength in oneself to overcome perceived limitations. Storm’s story may not have advanced the plot, but it fleshed out some of the themes of the season.

Not to make a cop out argument but people are speculating Storm might become one of Apocalypse’s 4 horsemen next season. She’d make one hell of a Famine if she just stopped the rain or performed some other extreme weather event. I hope that they bring Archangel back for more than a cameo. If indeed they have Gambit become the new Horseman of Death, it would be interesting to juxtapose the former against the latter. It seems that the two storylines that are being set up are "The Rise of Apocalypse" and "The Adventures of Cyclops and Phoenix" miniseries. I am wondering if Mother Askani will be revealed as Rachel Summers (which would be awesome, but perhaps difficult to execute story-wise), and if we'll have a formal introduction to Stryfe. There's quite a few other things going on and as far as the "mystery" of why Cable is prevented from preventing the Genosha massacre and the current time travel shenanigans..... I wonder if Apocalypse has regained control over the Axis of Time from Season 4 since his ressurrection in Season 5 of the OG show.

If you look on on the wall at the end of the episode in Forge's room you see that Jubilee, Sunspot, and Cable are listed as AWOL. So they are out their on their own in the present time since they were no longer on asteroid M. Cable most likely can't time travel now because his arm is missing, which stored his computer systems that handled his time travel.

So you got me wanting to break my moral compass for this… I quit consuming anything under the Disney umbrella since they openly announced their political agenda and have since not retracted… I have never been a fan of SW so that was easy, but Marvel was a second lifeline after Dragon Ball. Endgame and Loki season 1 is where I walked away, I even cancelled my year of “free” subscription for D+ but I seriously want to watch this series…

The seeds have been planted. You didn't seriously think he would show up and only be in the final episode when there's already so much going on, did you? He's too big of a character for that. Onslaught didn't show up immediately after Magneto was mind wiped in the comics, it took ages before he was revealed. Don't be surprised if we start seeing hints in the first few episodes of the next season, like someone using that word or weird things happening telepathically to people or Juggernaut being attacked by someone unknown.
