This is like one of the best compliments I've ever gotten lol. If you have Netflix, bladerunner director's cut is on there. I might be doing a survival fishing video series after this if we dont get quarantined. It will be a hypothetical scenario in where we are under martial law from a serious covid19 wipeout. We will have to fish for our survival because we are in a famine. I will try to make it as dystopian as possible from my knowledge off all cyberpunk movies lol. We'll see though.

New sub. as of last night. Caught your channel when y'all were fishing off a peer in the dark, but really cool lights there too. Never ever watched this type of fishing. I live up in the southern plains of the TX panhandle, so I'm closer to the Pacific ocean than to your neck of the water. LOL The other dudes on the peer was what really caught my attention as they moved over or under for you. Mad respect for them and the guy with the net!!. Your a well spoken young man and your description of your rods and reels and lures was spot on. I'm 69+ and love your channel. Got tired of rich white boys on big ass boats doing their thing because they can and not for the sport and the knowledge you have. Yeah and I'm white too. If you watch him and he refers to Elmo, that is his "alter ego" this guy has forgot more about crappie, bass and catfishing than most folks. I want to start surf fishing for bull reds. The penn squall 30 is on sale for $119 right now and I think I’m going to get it. For my rod I think I’m going to get a 12 foot penn prevail. Is this a good setup for a beginner or should I look for something else?
@BeachBomberFishing4 жыл бұрын
That reel is way too big for bull reds. To give you a general idea, this is what I used: I use the penn fathom 2 casting special on a 10ft rod. If you're gonna go with the squall, I'd go with the 15 size.

My favorite casting lure of all time Hopkins stainless hammered metal spoon with green surgical tube. That is the most deadly all around casting lure. The surgical tube adds more action then bucktail, and holds up better to toothy fish. I would be curious to test out West Coast "surface" iron
