The mic didn't change color -- she did back to back performances in a stadium that seats almost 80K people. They filmed for both nights; and edited it into one show. What she did in LA for the Era's tour film, as well. There is also the body suit that is striped in one area, then solid red a few minutes later. Not as odd as her older concert films that were done in several stadiums, with her hair apparently changing length and styling from song to song. In the opening she says it is the end of the US tour (51st concert); she went on to Asia, Australia, and Europe before it was all over. In her previous tours, she played in some arenas (seating about 20K); the Reputation tour was the first in which all the venues seated at least 50K. Hence, her comment about "all stadium tour."

To expand on another post the snake symbolism was a clap back at Kim Kardashian and Kanye West. Kanye had recorded a conversation with Taylor without her knowledge. Kim then posted part of that call which made it appear that Taylor was lying about approving a lyric in one of his songs calling Taylor a bitch(the full video was leaked years later proving Taylor hadn’t lied). Kim called Taylor a snake and the world started flooding twitter with comments trying to cancel Taylor using the snake emoji. Taylor is known for using criticism against her as creative fuel so she really leaned into the snake imagery as a giant F you to the haters.

Most of her band members have been with Taylor from the beginning. Her backup singers have been with her for several years too. She has dancers that have been in more than one of her tours. She's full on performing during her shows, so it's not like it was during the Long Pond recorded sessions. Here she has an audience that she wants to entertain. She wants them to have a good time, and she does enjoy performing, and seeing them having a good time. Taylor makes a point of singing live in every performance she does because she's had many people criticizing her voice over the years and suggesting that she can't really sing and that her live performances include recorded vocals. She's gotten so much flack from critics and other artists over the years who claim she doesn't write her own music, can't sing, etc. She's always had to prove herself. With Taylor, her lyrics are what her songs are about. Not the music. The music is there to help present the story the lyrics are telling. To help get the lyrics to not only tell a story, but to entertain. So, if you expect to be entertained by the music, you'll be missing a big part of the song. People who don't really listen to the words miss out. Her song's aren't for the distracted, casual, listener. Well, not at first. 13 is her good luck number.

The AT&T stadium is for the NFL team, Dallas Cowboys. Crowd is about 76 thousand. She has 4 backup singers, who join the dancers sometimes, but not always. She filmed the Long Pond sessions because she was unable to tour; not only because of the Lover album tours being cancelled for the second straight year, but she couldn't risk infection when her mother was on chemo for cancer. She's always made an effort to make each tour a theatrical experience; and all the tours feature her live band, and her backup singers. She also makes the songs more dramatic for the live settings; belting more and with pauses the studio albums don't have. She doesn't lip sync, and most of the "backing tracks" will be the Starlights, her backup singers. The extra singers in Shake It Off were the opening acts, Camilla Cabello and Charlie XCX.

This was so much fun watching you experience the Reputation Tour knowing very little about the lore of this era! It proves that the show in itself is just as great even if you dont know every word. But I saw that look on your eye when she finished playing the piano, she is so great at all those little moments, you are on the journey :) The great thing is that behind the showmanship, she has great lyrics and a talent to distill situations into a few words that paint a picture so clear in your mind, you dont need a music video because you are seeing it with how she presents each song. There are videos just breaking down her writing, its a treasure trove. Have you heard her Grammy Museum performances?? They are acoustic and the sound is fantastic, she plays the instruments, every song is worth a listen.

My understanding is that everything the audience hears at Taylor's concerts is performed live, including her vocals, the background singers and her band. Taylor has an in ear and she can hear a sparse mostly click track accompaniment to help her stay in sync.

Her eras (albums) were very different from each, reputation was kinda of a dark album it came after she was cancelled and attacked by Kim and Kanye and she had to despair for a year also there a lot of snakes cause its the album theme cause Kim called her a snake at the time and fought up
