With all due respect, I’m not sure you’re grasping the gravity of the political situation in the US right now, and that’s understandable. But she wasn’t upset because she spoke out and now regretted it. She was upset because many Americans are terrified of the direction that our country has been heading. Hell, we aren’t even two years out from losing the rights to govern our own reproductive health as childbearing people. And this was filmed before that, in the days when we were anticipating that happening. Her sadness wasn’t due to regret, it was due to fear for her own safety as a woman who has stalkers and the safety of all of us who have since lost our rights.

Kanye lied about stuff, she pointed it out, and they believed Kanye over her - that's why people think she "played the victim". She didn't play the victim, she called out society for its crap, and society didn't like it. How shallow must one be to hate someone for "overexposure", lmao. To summarize it for you, Kanye made a song called Famous and it includes the line "I made that bitch famous." Taylor Swift later criticized it and called it very sexist. Kim Kardashian then posted an illegally and heavily edited phone call between Taylor and Kanye, making it seem as if Taylor Swift approved of the line. This caused a ruckus on social media, with a hate train on Twitter almost reaching a million hate tweets and people, mainly due to Kim, started calling Taylor a snake. Taylor disappeared for a year and came back with the album Reputation with concepts embracing the snake persona (Queen behaviour tbh) And then, in early 2020, for some reason, the full 20+ minutes phone call between Taylor and Kanye leaked, revealing that Kanye did call Taylor up for a line approval but it was for a different line. Kanye never informed Taylor he was going to call her that bitch he made famous. In the end, Taylor wasn't lying after all. But it's too late. Kanye and Kim already put her in a massive career assassination and traumatic experience.

Also, from what I remember, Taylor actually never gave her approval for any lines, even the other lines aside from the Bitch one. Honestly even the edited clip it was painfully obvious that she was extremely uncomfortable and being appeasing rather than enthusiastic, and if I recall correctly she didn't "give permission", just basically said he should write his truth & thanks for the heads up (which obviously turned out to not even be a heads up of what he was actually going to do)

Her downfall came when Kanye and Kim released a tape of the phone conversation that supposedly showed that Taylor lied when she said that she didn't approve the lyrics. (It was edited to make Taylor look bad.) People took this tape as proof that she was a liar. Several years later a new version of the recording was leaked. This new unedited version proved that Taylor was telling the truth all along. (When Taylor is singing "...you said the gun was mine; wasn't true, no I don't like you..." she is metaphorically referring to being framed by Kim & Kanye to make her look bad.)

I listened to someone else talking about Scooter Braun. I don't know if it was true or not, but the implication of the presenter was that Scooter put Kanye (one of his clients) & others up to diss Taylor in an attempt to retain control of her masters. Didn't work....most people play the "Taylor's version" these days.

Perhaps because of the now-deleted post by Justin aimed at Taylor showing Justin Kanye & Scooter talking online etc. And since Taylor is a friend of Selena Gomez, maybe she had some second hand beef about what went on behind the scenes. But Taylor left Big Machine in 2018, Scooter bought the company wither that year or the next & the whole masters issue blew up. Post-Reputation, correct.

Kanye wasn’t wrong that Beyonce’s video was one of the greatest. He was wrong to interrupt a young girl winning her first award for Best Female video. If he had kept his mouth shut he would’ve seen that Beyonce won the Video of the Year award at the end of the show which is the top award and much bigger than Taylor’s. That part of the 2009 VMAs is never talked about because being kind isn't as attention grabbing as being a dick by running up on stage and snatching the mic to ruin a nice moment. I love watching reactions on this from people who know almost nothing about her, it's really interesting to see how different their reactions might be from the people who followed her careeer for some time. Yeah, the hate in 2016 was really unjustified, she became kinda over-exposed with 1989 like in 2014/15, she was everywhere, she even said in the mentioned call with Kayne (which was like 25 minutes long and it's torture to listen to the whole thing) that she didn't want to tweet the song with the controversial lyric because she knew she was really close to over-exposure and this would only make it worse. And then the edited phonecall made it's way into the world where were only the parts that made seem Taylor really bad, because in those parts she was saying how cool is it that he informed her about it, which made her seem like she was lying to the public when she said she didn't approve the lyric (which was verified in 2020 when the whole phonecall leaked, she sounded really uncomfortable the whole time, he never told her the final lyric, she never approved the lyric since she hasn't heard it. in fact she asked if it's gonna be mean and when he told her another lyric, she said "that's not mean, it's not like you called me a bit*h" which afterwards he did.) And then Kim called her a snake and everyone jumped on it just because they wanted to hate someone and she was a really easy target at that point.

She has many different mics during each concert. Every time she has a costume change, she changes her mic (especially in the Eras Tour!). Her shows are basically broadway productions of her storytelling and she misses no details! So while yes, the concert films are spliced together multiple shows, the costume changes and mic changes happen within each individual show as well!

I'm late to the party here but the video she was shooting with gay pride flags is "You Need To Calm Down". The video was released June 14, 2019. June being pride month and June 14th a dig at Donald Trump as it's his birthday. The video was nominated for nine 2019 MTV Video Music Awards and won two, Video of the Year and Video for Good. There's also a youtube video pointing out all the easter eggs in the video as well as who all the LGBTQ+ celebrities are. It's called "Everything You Missed In Taylor Swift's 'You Need To Calm Down' Video" although there is some speculation the number of actual little details Swift puts into the video is just crazy.

See I find it sad when she says she needs to make a better record just because the Grammy people didn’t nominate the album, she immediately feels inferior and let’s them make her feel that way. I wish she would’ve realized that their opinion is wrong/doesn’t matter because that album is a fantastic piece of work, but of course it’s life and she thinks her album is crappy just because it wasn’t nominated. 😔😔😔

Well, I'm pretty sure she didn't think her record was bad, but she came to the conclusion that it needed to be even better to get that nomination. In fact, that she was emotional shows me that she thought her album was really good.

There was never hate until Kanye and Kim. The first was when he took her award away, the second was when Kanye and Kim lied to her about what was going to be in the song about her, and because they edited the tape everyone thought Taylor was lying. A couple years later the unedited tape was leaked to the public and proved that Taylor was not lying, they were lying and profiting off of that song. They are both disgusting.

Well, it's actually just because I don't know much about politics to be honest and I know it can be very sensitive. And yes, to me she looked kinda tired after that, what I think must have been, stressfull period regarding the elections. That's of course just what it seemed like to me.
