What polishes do professional detailers use? Here I show you my go to polishing compounds for hesvy cutting, Finishing, jewelling and preparing for Ceramic Coatings. Mostly used with the Rupes LHR 15 dual action polisher, but these also get used with Rotary and Forced rotation (MIlle / flex 3401) movement machines.

I realised that I am doing it right, as these are the exact copy of mine. However sometimes I also use the Optimum range. Thanks again James.

Great video, really enjoyed the breakdown of the products and explanations on the applications! Thank you. Question with doing paint correction prep for a pre ceramic coating, in general would you go from Blue compound blue pad of choice, clean up and refine with Yellow compound yellow pad then refine and gloss up with PURE with a white pad to have the ultimate gloss pre ceramic coating ( without going into the panel wipe procedure prior to the actual ceramic application)

Yes you could do that for the ultimate detail if time wasn't an issue or if the customer had an unlimited budget. Generally dependant on the paint type, if the cars being coated I'll use white/ Uno or on a harder paint yellow/ Uno. If it's not I'll probably use yellow/ yellow unless the paints on the softer side.

Really enjoying your content and appreciate you sharing your knowledge. Two small constructive comments - sort the recording issue out which will stop you having to check your camera!!! Also no need to repeat your credentials each video.. :) Interesting you say about Scholl polishes being difficult to remove below... they are water based and without fillers, shouldn't they be easier than something oil based to remove?

Thanks for the comments Adam, I always appreciate anyone taking the time to tell me how things are from the other side of the camera! There's no issue.. just my own fear that it's stopped! I've got a new camera on trial now so this should be a thing of the past. Sorry, I didn't explain that as well as I could. They are not difficult to wipe away, but (as all polishes do to a greater or lesser degree) do leave a residue behind after wiping which can mask the true finish. Yes, they are water based.. but this doesn't mean the absence of oils, just that the majority is water. All polishes contain some oil, but some less so than others. (Not my words, but from someone who has formulated some of the best abrasives over the last 10 years)

Great video mate. Just curious with Uno Pure what machine speeds, arm speed, drops of product and how many passes do you do in a set? Cheers thanks

Thankyou for taking the time to watch and comment, I really appreciate it. Uno pure is like any Rupes liquid, so speed 4, 2 drops of product and arm speed/ passes so you do 2-3 passes (1 left to right, one up/ down) in around 45 secs. See my videos on the polishing cycle and how to use the Rupes system for more on the recommended techniques on using a Rupes.

@@detailingyoda1652 Thank you for the helpful advice much appreciated. When i used Pure I think I may have been overworking it slightly. I'll give this a go. Thanks again.

It's very thin, so a little goes a long way. 2 small drops is all you need.

any reason why you dont use the DA white foam for your final stage , over the yellow foam with Uno Pure?

On a 15, with most paint types we see in this country I just find I prefer the yellow. Very useful for delicate paints though, or when chasing ultimate gloss.

@@detailingyoda1652 being a seriuos amateur, i do love yellow on yellow it can do so much, but being a magpie I also have a pot of Pure, so was curious. the yellow foams are a very wide range pad it seems so as soon as this winter weather eases into spring, i'm keen to get out and have a play

Please consider buying a good microphone. A wireless lavalier mic is probably the most convenient if you don't wanna waste time doing voice-overs. It'd mean a lot to me if I could hear your videos in good quality through my headphones. But it may not be cheap. idk. Your channel.
