Hey Clay, If your a/c in pushing air into the room your grow tent is in the a/c will have to work a lot harder. I would recommend to push the hot heat as for from the room you are growing in. If you're running a sealed room then I would recommend about 300 CFM to cool those two reflectors. How far you're having to push or pull the air is a factor so you may require more if ducting has to travel far.

Hey joey - That part about blowing the fan on the lights (as opposed to "pulling" the air) is not accurate, nor is it an insider tip. Metal Halide lamps are made to operate at a certain temperature. When you blow air directly at them, you change that temperature (as opposed to pulling in the air, which doesn't). The spectrum is effected, as well as the life of the bulb, and it's efficiency.

Thanks for chiming in on the video, always appreciate new dialog. We are simply speaking from our own experiences with personal grow rooms as well as grow rooms of others (so I'm sure there are people with opposing situations). At times we found that pulling was bringing in smell from the canopy if the reflector truly wasn't air-tight (cheaper ones). Insider tip depends on who knows I guess, just something I through out as this was an improv video. In our experience more people are using HPS bulbs over MH, however what you've stated is great and good information for people to be aware of so thanks for taking the time.
