Also, a side note that Anadite is made of pure energy and I think it's quite impossible for Azmuth to collect the DNA of the anadites and put it in the Omnitrix. And I saw somewhere (can't remember where) that Anadites are one of the few aliens that cannot be contained in the Omnitrix.

Because the omnitrix is set to male DNA because Ben is wearing the watch, when Gwen wore the watch it was set to female DNA of the species she turns into so a theory goes around that the omnitrix has a gender lock and if it would be unlocked then Ben can turn into any gender of a species

I think there are a few possible reasons based on theories and statements. 1. Andonites are made out of energy and they don't have “DNA” or at least, not having a close equivalent of it for it to be acceptable. 2. Ben is 1/4 Andonite but just doesn't have the “spark” to where he can't use or transform into an Andonite. One of the rules for what the Omnitric can accept as a tranformation is that: the DNA must be different from the user's original DNA to accept. So maybe the Omnitrix already does have it or can't be used because Ben already being 1/4 so it's enough for him where it won't fully accept it as a whole transformation. 3. The writers wanted Gwen her own special thing and didn't want Ben to also be an Andonite because of it. Probably the same reason why he doesn't transform into like an Osmosian lol.

Though I don't think Ben would be able to turn into any gender and it's something that be “unlocked”, not being as easy to get hold of both like getting a whole different subspecies (like the Merks and Perks) for example lol. Also even if that is true, there's really nothing stating that Anodite can't be males because we just so happen to only see female-looking Anodites.
