Here is an interesting little brain teaser. If arsenal are not a big club because they would rather negotiate a deal instead of paying and signing the dotted line the 50 mil for calafiori what does that make bayern munich for not paying 80 to 100 mil on Paulihna and then getting him for half that a year later? Too busy signing kids, which is pointless given Arteta doesn't promote them anyway. Why is it also the case that just about every other team seems able to sell bang average players for sizable fees, but yet again ours are loans with options or obligations and for small potential fees. Our transfer policy is and has been one of the best parts about the current administration. The team has gotten better each year over the past 4 years. everyone were laughing at Liverpool last year because Chelsea took every player they were interested in. And Liverpool ended with the better midfield.

This is the same with my club Liverpool. No signings at all except the Chelsea youngster, but that’s an academy signing. At least Arsenal are actually linked with players (even if a lot of them are fake) but Liverpool are barely linked with anyone at all so I really don’t think we are signing anyone which would be ludicrous as Jurgen is now gone.

I would not be surprised if they are waiting for a club to kinda revive interest then seal it and boast the narrative that we have more "pull" than the other club,most of the good/decent players we signed of late were either because the other clubs could not invest that until they got rid of some players(jesus to chelsea for example or at some point to real ) or because the other club were having the transfer more as a luxury than an absolute necessity(rice to city or the bayern usual transfer limit which they only broke for kane and the imminent return of neuer with the raya case) or the club did not want a young stop gap before getting their dream target(havertz and the real rumour) or also simply because other clubs did not fancy the player that much i dont remember for example zinchenko being a serious fight but rather the typical former club signing a lot of coaches do

Arsenal seem to be the worst club when it comes to transfers. Can't sell the players they don't want for much money and/or does these stupid loan moves.
