Teleporting a bot to the ocean is funny, but I've got a much better idea. How about a "loot switch" - flip the switch, and anything the character loots is automatically discarded or put in an inaccessible inventory space that can only be retrieved by a GM if the account is found innocent. Bots will continue farming for hours without realizing. Contact customer support if you would like to resolve this matter.

Small issue with this, blizzards CS is dogshit. Ive sent in a ticket 6 days ago and have yet to get a response. So goodluck waiting a week or more to get ur loot bcuz blizz CS is horrible.

Blizzard automating bans was an awful idea. Sure use AI to flag an account for review but banning and responding to appeals with AI is terrible.

Currently banned from doing nothing but selling items on the AH and in trade. Banned for gold buying / illicit means of aquiring gold with appeal being denied after providing screenshot proof.

They could always limit the amount of units a player receives on the character. Rise of Kingdoms do this to mitigate external resource sellers.

Similar to how businesess/governments don't spend enough in fraud detection/prevention. It's always an uphill battle, but worth undertaking from an integrity standpoint. Just like sniffer dogs shore up human's shortcomings, humans follow through by verifying or disproving, and proceed accordingly. There needs to be an active, tandem effort between the WoW community, Blizzard the company, Blizz employees, and detection software and preventative measures. Thanks a ton for making this vid, I hope it is successful in reaching many people inside and outside Blizzard, as well as other game devs who make MMO's and other online pvp/pve games. ❤❤❤

Gold selling been in wow since Vanilla. In 2006 i bought a power leveling to lvl 60. It did take 3 weeks but was worth the money. One time i logged on to see where i was. And my char was farming raptors south in Arathi Highlands 😂

Just get all of the big wow streamers to organize a viewing party. Don't announce it until it happens. They could all just agree to a time and date and tell their communities they have a big suprise for them or something. Just to mention, not everyone they ban is an actual bot :) I got banned just because I played hardcore hours like 20hr per day ( i was sick week on work ) and now i get only AI copy paste answers from the custom service, which is still not good. for 5 days i got 2 accounts banned (my main and other one i started after the main was banned), all i did was to farm on my shaman dungs for emblems to gear it - banned, made new account leveled for like 24 hours (in-game) 1-53, 300/300 Tailor/DE - banned... they do not care who they ban, just to have someone and say "HEY WE ARE BANNING BOTS", while they ban actual humans and CS doesn't even review it to understand its false... Blizzard is digging they're own graveyard and doesn't know it ... I know many many players from around the world already with false bans & giving up on the game, and going to the private servers, because they can't ban you there for playing 20hr the game YOU PAYED FOR.

I will say, I do already feel a definite dip in bots in-game for season of discovery at least. The vast majority of players I interact with are human and I'm not witnessing as much egregious AH behavior. I hope it remains that way, Keep fighting the good fight. I'm frankly amazed the gold-sellers and the people running RMTs are actually still willing to talk to you - or anyone else in the WoW influencer community - given that you are all working directly against their interests. For that reason, I take everything they say in an interview with a huge grain of salt, as it's possible they're trying to focus attention where it doesn't need to be allowing them to continue getting away with it.

I knew when phase 2 got into full swing, that we would get people offering Boosts at 5g pp per run (stockades), now SM. The number of Locks offering portals, Mages doing portals. this will get worse! the only way you'll get into instances, is by paying gold

But in return let some player base be gms instead real momey maybe efforts pay them gold in retail or something. Buy wow tokens. Get game time be win win. That's like saying a plague isn't the problem, it's just all the sickness and dying. GDKP is essentially just money laundering for RMT gold purchases. With the large quantities of gold passing through all the hands each GDKP, there is no way that the gold coming in is all legit. Just like any money laundering operation, you pass it through seemingly legit transactions and it appears to come out clean.
