It's not about being a RUN FIRST team, it's about being a RUN EFFECTIVE team. EPA per Run and EPA per pass should be balanced. That's what I believe coach is going for

Last year, if you look at the chargers results, this team could have easily been a 9 win team with all the injuries and Coaching issues that happened. I think it’s a refresh year, a reset, a more positive approach to the season. This could translate to more success. Not saying they will win the superbowl but playoffs is well within the reach

Andrew Luck won a Heisman with Harbaugh and ROMAN. I don't know why this doesn't get brought up. They seemed to utilize his skillset just fine. I'd be intersted in seeing how they used Luck. Also curious how many 8 man fronts Herbert has seen.

Personally I think that what coach Harbaugh is bringing to the team is discipline, which it reads between thelines from all of you was missing . I think they let us know in the first interview with our new conditioning coach, how to even respect all training equipment .

The Dark Navy and Yellow should be their primary uniform colors with the Dark Navy Helmets with white/yellow bolts and dark navy facemasks. Like their 2006 season. And the powder blue/yellow should be the alternate colors with the white helmets yellow bolts.

With regards to the preseason, if the past is any indicator, Harbaugh always played the starters for a few series in the preseason when he was with the Niners.

I look back at the Rivers O’ lines over the years in my mind. It was about that pocket. Some how our boys were able to keep Ohilip clean long enough.... Love to see that with this group. Sprinkle in that designed three or four running plays. Out Gunnum my boys. ⚡️⚡️⚡️BOLTz⚡️⚡️⚡️🖖🏼🤘👽🇺🇸

completely different QB"s. Completely different game plans and offensive line schemes. Rivers had two teams that had a good pass protection. With LT the line was for the run

I'd like to hear more about the new kickoff rules and if you gents think it will help or hurt us. We have one of the league's best returners. The kicking team can't run until the ball is fielded? Would it behoove us to punt it if punter is more accurate than your kicker?
@Electric_Funeral4 ай бұрын
We need to trade for a above average run-stuffing DT. you can’t get to our pass rush without stopping the run. I think that’s what they do with the rest of our cap space

Let's change Quinten Johnston's number. He doesn't deserve the number 1. It should be somewhere where he ranked as rookie receiver. Probably in the 20's. I know he'd be way behind those guys taken in the first round. But what about those rookies in Green Bay, that rookie with the Texans, Oh what about Puka? If he plays better than any of those guys, we could give him the number 1 back next year. But I doubt it.

Playoff or bust in 2024. AFC championship or bust in 2025. Super Bowl or bust in 2026. Although I don’t see this happening: One playoff appearance between 2024 to 2026 - Jim Harbaugh is gone.
@chemstudent48264 ай бұрын
We have a knack of making the playoffs or coming super close the first year of a new HC every season. Turner, McCoy led us to the divisional round, Lynn and Staley were a game away. Harbaugh takes a dump on all of those coaches

It’s HILARIOUS how delusional everyone seems to be about the Chargers yet again!! I understand the excitement over having a real coach again. But outside of that this is a BIG LIFT! Cap hell, BAD defense, no pass catching weapons, injury prone RBs. Herbert may be enough to save it. But to this point with a better team around him he’s accomplished nothing meaningful…
@dontnonowuno99534 ай бұрын
Top 5 coach,Top five QB, excellent pass rush,rising o- line, top tier safety, faster lbs, a much deeper rb group,and a potentially deeper wr group considering the injuries to Allen and Williams...no Staley..there is plenty of reason to be optimistic

In 4 years as a starter, herbo led the ducks on a steady rise from a post-Chip Kelly/Mariota bowl ineligible 4-8 in 2016 to a rose bowl championship 12-2 in 2019 /20. 4 years, 3 head coaches, 3 offensive coordinators, 3 offensive playbooks. Steady cycle of veteran graduations and freshman recruits (all recruited by different staffs). Players transferring in and out with each head coach. Herbert stuck it out. One of the only constants, a common thread, leading those Oregon teams on the trail from worst to first, was Herbert. The program was in flux and had no right to continue to improve and win championships. You might even give Herbert some credit for Taggert’s FSU job and Cristobal’s Miami job, neither of them have proven that their “success” with Oregon had much to do with themselves. Those Oregon teams were led and motivated from within and Herbert was there all four years. As the starting QB. Nix may yet have a more successful NFL career (Herbert got 2020 OROY to start), but Herbert easily clears the bar of capable of a championship, he just can’t do it alone. I’m also a big Nix fan and it will be fun to watch two former Duck QBs battle each other and mahomes and O’Connell? in the AFC west. Ps. Herbert pretty much took over the 2020 rose bowl and won the game. He had 1 rushing TD that entire regular season and his fewest rushing yard total ever, yet exploded for 3 rushing tds and won OMVP in the rose bowl. He was “it”, at least for that rose bowl. Nix never beat the huskies which as a duck athlete is kinda low-key unacceptable. Despite having 3 chances in 2 years. Also, lanning has yet to beat the huskies, so he’s got homework also.
