My understanding is that Undefined/Defined CoS only refers to Skilled Worker Visa. I can't find anywhere that Defined COS should be assigned to a Global Business Mobility visa worker. DCoS - 24 hours to 5 days, Undefined CoS - if the employer has allocations, then the employer can assign instantly, if they don't have the allocation, to get extra in-year allocations, standard UKVI processing time is 18 weeks, but the employer can apply via Priority Change of Circumstances by paying £200 and get it within 5 working days

Hello, As uk gov. implemented a new rule regarding the skilled worker visa. Students are not allowed to switch their visa without the course completed. However, is it the right way to get the skilled worker visa through the defined cos? Any idea if a student return back to own country and reapply for tier2 visa through the defined cos? Yes, they can apply from outside the UK, however, if they have not completed their course, then their intention may be questioned to test genuineness. Every case is different and we can only advise on individual cases during a paid consultation

Defined CoS is to be requested for every identified worker migrant. Only undefined CoS can be requested in the Sponsor Licence application, it is always better to ask for 1 or 2 in the first instance, build your compliance history and then apply for more if required, unless there are exceptional reasons to ask for more CoS and you have sufficient evidence such as Business plan, proof of funding to be able to afford salaries, etc. to justify the need

this is one of the fields to be confirmed as a yes or no, by the Sponsor, while assigning the Certificate of Sponsorship, Y means you cannot file the application inside UK, you have to file an Entry Clearance application and N means you can file the application from within the UK
