Love the idea. I actually had a head-canon where the partners of the children in the Adventure epilogue eventually digivolved into the Devas. So I used their baby and in-training (and Veemon) to make digivolution lines, also using armors as the champion. But with the extra constraint that the armor had to match either the crest or rookie of the child’s parent. Had a bit of overlap with your ideas too!

I really like the idea of the armor digimon being connected to the devas and sovereign as the concept is interesting and very overlooked. I like Seasarmon as a Caturamon's champion but I can see why Nefertimon would work.

Dude this is so awesome! And you did it so much better than i did. I did something just like this like 2 weeks ago cause i couldnt get the idea out of my head it was a fun and annoying exercise, it took so long to get the feel for each line right and then edits to them when i wasnt happy with the finished product of this deva evo chart i had, armors were a first idea but a hard one since again i wanted a cohesive theme to fit and some things got limited later on since i didnt want repeats and things and i also felt that certain armors were more under the domain of a certain sovereign and during some of those i gave up on in certain aspects too for other ideas and things.

The fanfic concept part of my brain has always wonder what would work as Deva partner lines for the Soma family from Fruits Basket, so this helps settle that part of my mind. Also, I think Seahomon would work for Majiramon since seahorses are thought to be baby/small dragons in Asian culture, with maybe Swimmon as the rookie… I guess? Say what if there was a cat deva Digimon to fit with the stories of how the cat was denied to be part of the zodiac, maybe part of a video as an idea?

I actually think Mihiramon into Achillesmon would work really well: Both are big cats, have a yellow, purple, and black color scheme, have shields, and Mihiramon's wings can develop into Achillesmon's energy wings, which come out of the shields! To give credit where it's due, I got this idea from MurmurSorrow. I also think you did a pretty good job coming up with connections for the Armor digimon here: I personally like stuff like Kokatorimon to Sinduramon etc more, but I honestly think it's really impressive how well you got these to work while just sticking to Armor digimon.... Also, since you brought up Quetzal/Coatlmon being a "Snake God", I figured i'd talk a bit about Feathered Serpent gods in Mesoamerican religion since I'll never pass up an excuse to share information on Mesoamerica! ----------- So, context: Mesoamerica refers to the region the encompasses roughly the bottom half of Mexico, all of Guatemala and specific parts of/cultures in Belize, and some other countries further down into Central America, and is one of only a few places in the world which indepdently invented cities, formal goverments, writing, etc. The Aztec and Maya are the most famous Mesoamerican civilizations, but there are dozens of other, with Mesoamerican history generally being split into 3 major periods: The Formative/Preclassic, (2000BC-0AD, when cities, statehood, writing, etc were first developing), the Classic (0AD to 900AD, when those things had become largerly widespread) and the Postclassic (900-1521, arguably 1697 AD, defined by a shift in political centers/models). Common Mesoamerican cultural traits include Pyramidal temples, Maize/Corn as a primary cereal crop, a ritualistic and recreational ball game, a shared 365/260 day solar and ritual calender with a base 20 numeral system, Cities with a dense urban core organized around plazas and courtyards with extended radial suburbs, sacrifice and blood offerings, and of course, some shared deity archtypes like Fanged/Goggled rain gods, and Feathered serpent gods! One of the earliest examples of what's thought to be a feathered serpent is depicted on Monument 19 at the Olmec site of La Venta, which dates back to around 1400BC (relatively early into La Venta's history: San Lorenzo, possibly the first city in Mesoamerica, was more dominant at the time, La Venta would only become prominent around 900BC) but there's a pretty interesting thesis paper by Santiago Andres Garcia titled "Early Representations of Mesoamerica's Feathered Serpent: Power, Identity, and the Spread of a Cult" which tracks other proto-feathered serpent (what the thesis identifies as the "avian serpent") iconography at other contemporary and possibly earlier Mesoamerican preclassic/formative period sites, such as in other Olmec sites, in Central Mexico, Oaxaca, etc. That thesis identifies the Avian serpent with with sky-band motifs (often placed at doorways or divisions between spaces), which ties into attributes that others have gone on to associate feathered serpents with more generally: the boundaries between cosmic realms and the passing between them, such as with the heavens and earth; with the dualism of both bird and snake attributes also reflecting that dualism between the sky, heavens, and the divine; and the ground, earth, and the mortal (Note also how this ties into stuff I talk about further down with Ce Acatl Topiltzin , or how the Aztec Quetzalcoatl travels to the underworld etc); and to rulership and priesthood (again, see Topiltzin, the satchel the figure on La Venta Monument 19 carries, a trait tied with priests; or the Aztec Quetzalcoatl) Feathered Serpents were therefore a common archetype in Central Mexico, the Gulf Coast, Oaxaca, etc by the mid Preclassic period, but has an interesting role at Teotihuacan, arguably the single largest and most influential city of the Classic period. Atg Teotihuacan (which was located in the same Valley the Aztec would 1000 years later, had 100,000+ denizens, had a massive planned urban grid with hundreds of richly painted and spacious palace complexes with plumbing systems, that housed almost the entire city's population, etc) the Feathered Serpent god has specifically aquatic and water associations, with the Temple dedicated to the deity having aquatic reliefs featuring sea shells and in addition to a feathered serpents sculptures on the temple's facade, there are also sculptures of what's identified either as crocodiles or Teotihuacan's version of the goggled/fanged Rain God (the Aztec tlaloc, Maya chaac, Zapotec Cocijo etc). This temple was also aligned with a canalized river, so it seemed like the river erupted forth from it (with the shimmering scales of a snake likened to the surface of water, and the flowing curves of a river to a snake's body), and the plaza in front of it even being able to be ritualistically flooded like the Roman Colosseum. Teotihuacan has some sort of civil uprising and a decline starting around 600AD, while the most powerful cities down in Oaxaca like Monte Alban, and in the Maya regions like Tikal, Calakmul, etc fall in the next 3 centuries as well, which marks the transition to the Postclassic period. (I sadly haven't looked into the Feathered Serpent as depicted or woshipped by the Maya much, or in Oaxaca or the Gulf Coast past the Preclassic, so I can't clarify about it there). There is MUCH to talk about with Feathered Serpents in the Early Postclassic, as later Aztec legends account stories of a civilization known as the Toltec, who they saw as their cultural predecessors and the founders of high culture and the arts and sciences, who allegedly ruled a great empire from around 900 to 1100AD. A key part of this empire was a figure known as Ce Acatl Topiltzin, who was heavily tied to or seen as an incarnation of Quetzalcoatl, the Aztec/Nahua Feathered Serpent god. So many legends about him go, he was a great ruler who suffered a moral falling, and in his shame, exiled himself to the east. For a long time, researchers assumed that this Toltec Empire was a real civilization, and the Aztec/Nahuatl legends about it were merely a bit romanticized, which they saw support of in the fact that the Postclassic Maya of the Northern Maya region (which actually grew more powerful after the Classic collapse, unlike the Central/Southern areas) seemed to have increasing influence from Central Mexico, including the adoption of Feathered Serpent gods, such as at Chichen Itza: Chichen Itza also had some structures identical to ones at Tula in Central Mexico, which researchers believed was the Toltec captial of Tollan, and oral narratives from the Itza Maya also seem to suggest they traveled from Central Mexico to the East.... seems like a slam dunk case backing up Aztec accounts, but more recent research has disputed a lot of this (check out the "The Tula-Chichen-Tollan Connection" blog post in Tlatollotl) and further complicating matters is that a lot of these stories about Ce Acatl Topiltzin have clear catholic influences, and we know that many of those accounts were written under and distorted by Spanish friars to aid in conversion during the early colonial period, which was then further distorted into modern "Quetzalcoatl was white-bearded-blond and came from the sea and Cortes was mistaken for thim" narratives, (something Cortes's own letters dispute). In any case, Quetzalcoatl as worshipped by the Aztec was tied to priesthood, learning, the arts, sciences, etc; as well as to the wind as his aspect Ehecatl. These actually aren't as random a set of connections as you might think: Speech and song are depicted in Aztec art as spiral wind gusts from the mouth, hence also his signature spiral conch shell pendant, with conches also producing both sound and wind, and the spiral shape tying into the iconic mesoamerican step fret motif, the coiling body of snakes, or the way waves of water are shown (google "A STUDY OF MESOAMERICAN RELIGIOUS SYMBOLISM" there's a infograph showing how all those visual motifs tie into each other), which may also tie into the aquatic attributes the god had at Teotihuacan (though that's my personal speculation). Quetzalcoatl also is often a benefactor of humanity, giving them knowledge (such as of Maize, or wise rule as Ce Acatl Toplitzin) or aiding them (in the current age of the cosmos, creating humanity by traveling to the underworld, Mictlan, to retrieve sacred bones which are ground up and then formed into a dough with divine blood to make humanity, like one would with corn meal to make tortillas). However, he is NOT associated much with rulers as much as other gods like Huitzliopotchli (the patron war god of the Aztec captial of Tenochtitlan) or to Tezcatlipoca, also associated with jaguars, sorcery, and the fickle nature of fate/fortune/misfortune. Tezcatlipoca is often set up as Quetzalcoatl's rival in myths: They destroy each other's worlds during earlier cosmic cycles, and it was he who in myths drugged Ce Acatl Topiltzin causing him to elope with his own sister, and set out to the east in shame. Some have theorized that this myth is a symbolic representation of a change in political power in the postclassic, since you see political power shift from being theorcractic in nature, with the priestly caste holding power; to a more "secular" system where military officials held more political power and royalty tended to be generals and the like, but it could also be those catholic religious influences, where Quetzalcoatl was likened to Saint Thomas or Jesus and Tezcatlipoca to satan, with this being a sort of "original sin" narrative I'm not sure how many people are gonna read all this, but I think it's a shame that Quetzal/Coatlmon is only one of two Digimon that are based on Mesoamerican things, when there's plenty from Greco-Roman, Egyptian, Arabic, Buddhist, etc culture. I'd love a whole Royal Knights style group based on the 13 Aztec Lords of the Day

I always thought it would be interesting to see proper digivolutions for the other Devas. The fact that the only one that gets more focus is Antylamon whose line we've seen multiple times feels a little cheap. They all have their weird little design characteristics that I just feel would make for really unique final forms.

It would be really cool in the up coming 02 movie if the 02 partner digimon turn into the sovereigns as their final line. This could break the chain of digimon having to leave their partners forever. We know that the original ending in 02 is still cannon. This would be a great tie in with bond forms as well. Bond form will most likely return in that movie and we could potentially see Davis, Ken, and the rest of the digi Destin get bond forms. Just like matt and tai. It would also be cool to see them bring in the end and beginning tie in that digimon 2020 brought in. IDK what will happen this is just some ideas. I just hope willis will come back.

Pretty good line choices I will say though I think Thunderbirdmon would fit more for Sinduramon better given in Tamers Sinduramon absorbed a whole city worth of electricity in a single night and primarily focuses on electric attacks. And it evolves from Hawkmon (according to Wikimon)

You are free to think I'm crazy, but whenever I tried to imagine what the evolutionary lines of the Devas would be like, two things always stood out to me: 1-with the exception of Majiramon and Makuramon, they all have horns characteristic of Lopmon or Terriermon; 2 - they seem tailor-made for a Warp Digivolution. I can clearly visualize a ceremony with a Nyaromon receiving Quinlongmon's blessing to evolve directly to Mihiramon, or a Koemon being awarded an evolution to Makuramon by Baihumon.

Man going through this made me realize that there are some evolutions that I think digimon definitely can use and enhance. We definitely do need some more boar level evolutions but this was a pretty tight list. I like the armors connection too though seasarmon and turuiemon are logical inserts, but I think I was going Toucanmon for Sinduramon, Opossumon for Khumbiramon, and Raidramon for Majiramon. I don't think they'd normally evolve to mega unless extreme circumstances but your selections are pretty decent.

What I did for my Kumbhiramon line, is that I also made Anubismon the mega, but I made Opossumon the champion form, and Salamon the rookie form. As for Pajiramon, I also made Pillomon the rookie, and Sheepmon the champion. But I made AncientMegatheriummon the mega.

Possibly a new series, if you'd be interested in that idea? Thanks to Pokemon, I've grown to expect complete families for every creature, and it is something that I wish Digimon would do more of, target than having isolated individuals with no established connections to anything else.

Loved the idea! Loved this line! But doesn't it Oposumon make more sense as Khumbiramon's rookie and Sujinmon as Vajramon mega.

I considered Opposumon but went with Prairiemon cause of the claws, Sujinmon is an interesting idea for a Vajramon Mega too

In terms of abilities, Diablomon might actually be a nice Mega for Kumbhiramon, given how they both make copies of themselves. That being said, Anubimon does at least have a slight resemblance with the wings, so makes for a more natural-looking pick.

My personal take on Kumbhiramon is Neamon > Opossumon > Kumbhiramon > SlashAngemon. For Majiramon I like Betamon > Tuskmon > Majiramon > Goddramon. I also remember that Sinduramon's official line was Muchomon > Akatorimon > Sinduramon > Zhuqiaomon, I know you were going for Armor Adults but since you mentioned Lopmon's official line I think it was worth to mention this one too.

At one point I tried to make digivolution lines for the devas as if they were partners but gave up halfway through because I ran out of ideas XD I also thought Tapirmon to Boarmon to Vikaralamon would work great and that Pegasusmon & Quetzalmon could digivolve to Indaramon and Sandiramon. And I think I settled on Dinotigermon as a Mega for Mihiramon too but wasn't very satisfied with it for the reason that Mihiramon would lose its wings when it digivolves, but i couldn't find a fitting mega that kept them. I lot of the Devas have really specific designs that don't transition smoothly into megas in general... I kinda want Mikemon as Mihiramon's champion. I was pretty proud of myself for the idea of ChuuChuumon to Oppossumon to Kumbhiramon, even if Opossumon's not really a rodent/mouse. I think Apemon would be another good choice the Champion between Monmon and Makuramon. Your Pillomon to Sheepmon to Pajiramon line is pretty galaxy-brained if you ask me ^^

It was a good video A thing that I will like to see is the five beasts as warrior type digimons with animal thematic armor and weapons, I think that those forms will put on a equal foot to the 13 knights in terms of power

I can't decide wether its funny or sad that your idea for Vikaralamon is one of the closest things Tapirmon had to a proper evolution line for the longest time. I had the exact same idea but in reverse between both it and Mammothmon., for the exact same reasons. :P Even with the existence of Baluchimon I still like boarmon as a champion for Tapirmon. Its also much closer from a taxonomic perspective.

These were good choices but I could see Panjiromon’s Mega being AncientMegatheriumon since it does have a bit of Sheep/Goat look to it and Mihiramon’s mega could be Leopardmon as it is based on a big Cat and keeps the Wings it has and Sinduramon’s Champion could be ThunderBirdmon as they are both Electric using Birds.

Love your lines for the Devas and sad that they canceled the last Tamers movie RISE OF THE DEVAS, which according to one of the artist was supposed to be a complete back story of the monster makers and how their project evolved and began it's evolutionary path

Mihiramons Mega Level i would either choose Duftmon Leopard Mode or Apollomon. Dinotigermon i hope to see in the next Game or in the Anime.
