It's all rumour- maybe even malicious rumour but simply avoiding the question- as Farage does- does not silence the rumours especially given his questionably positive assessment of Putin in the past

I have a strong and abiding suspicion that the cabal of Clarendon group public school products who seem to be conditioned to a role of "leadership" act collusively in their own interests, not those of society, for their own mutual benefits, occupying controlling positions in every walk of life. They will cheerfully hide matters that should be revealed as long as their conduct is facilitated.

Any discussion of Farage's Russian links should include GB News. GB News is owned by All Perspectives Ltd, which is controlled by three significant shareholders, all of whom work for Christopher Chandler's Dubai-based investment firm Legatum. Christopher Chandler made his fortune in Russia, has known Putin for over 25 years and was named in Parliament by Tory MP and Foreign affairs committee member, Bob Seely, as "working for Russia". Mr Seely cited security files that he said were authenticated by French, UK and US sources. Despite losing £30M a year and attracting fewer viewers in a month than Gardeners World does per episode, GB News pays, or has paid, generous salaries to the likes of; Rees Mogg, 30p Lee, Andrew Neil, Nigel Farage, Portillo, Pierce, Wooton, Stewart, Grimes. In a word: Brexiters. Making a profit appears to be not one of GB News' objectives. So what ARE its objectives?

Brexit was one of four objectives of Vladimir Putin, the fourth of which, the invasion of Ukraine is presently in action and appears to be the only one to be heading for failure. There is Russian involvement both in the Tory party (especially under Boris Johnson) and Brexit. Both his role in the disaster and that of Cameron needs closer examination. Brexit was overtly a major Russian objective standing with the annexation of Crimea. It's achievement and the conduct of those involved in it's promotion require very close scrutiny by our security forces. One way or another we need to clear the air.

Also Aaron planks a garage backer is up to his neck after gaining investment from Russian money for his diamond mines but re directed those funds into the Brexit campaign. Planks lost a legal case against Carole Caldwaller around these accusations. This all needs to be laid out for uk citizens to see this evidence so they can make their own minds up about interference in uk politics by malign forces like putler. These individuals are traitors and the opposite of patriots.

What is very worrying is the blank indifference of the supporters of Trump and Farage show, not only in as far as they defend Putin, but how they 'champion' the kind of leader he is. it seems that Farage and Trump's supporters don't care what they say, so long as they promote the right-wing narratives' that they want to hear - and no matter how extreme .

True story here. My father was in the RAF and was stationed in Berlin when The Wall fell. A story he told me that really stunned me was what happened the day after it became clear unification was inevitable. He told me that the intelligence services of the UK and USA beelined for Stasi HQ and managed to get hold of a trove of documents which spilled the beans on who had been compromised and who was a spy. What followed were a slew of arrests, some very high profile. I suspect a similar thing will happen when Putin’s regime falls. Then it will all come out that Farage, Trump et al. have been compromised assets all along.

If anything, Farage is opposed to the socialist dogma that is coming out of our Universities. I would expect any Russian link to be pro-socialist, or in other words, an identity politics absolutist. In fact, we have a historic example of the old "red in the bed" from the cold war, the Cambridge five, who were all intellectual socialists, which is where identity politics originates. Prof. Tim is statistically more likely to be a red in the bed than Farage.

I want to make a point about Rishi Sunak, but it applies far beyond him, that I have not heard mention, but which I suggest was an indication of why he and the Tories failed to commend himself or themselves to those of us who might have otherwise rallied to his cause against his/their detractors and certainly against Farage and Reform. It revealed to me not only ignorance, but also it was snide, and cheap. He referred, I think,, to Sir Keir's choice of Beethoven's 'Ode to Joy' and remarked that his own choice was an English tune. If he had contented himself with remarking his own taste was different it would have been excusable, but it was a rather silly attempt to establish his English credentials. How was it ignorant, how was it snide? Because, although they were enemies, both the Afrika Corps and the Desert Rats shared one thing in common 'Lili Marlene' and even Marlene Dietrich. Montgomery was so anxious that this song and this singer should be available that he wrote to Serbian Radio and requested that they should play it for his men. Marlene Dietrich performed a great service to the allied troops and they all wanted her to sing Lili Marlene, and she continued to visit the front line long after she need.. It was not only her legs that commended her; it was her spirit, her integrity, her decency and in singing that song she revealed heart, it is whether German or not a lilting melancholy which we understood. If I can venture a comparison it is the 'Miserere', from Bach's. St Matthew Passion where this contralto voice sings of The Magdalene's lament, her desolation, of the crucifixion of her man, Jesus. It never fails to move me to tears. But beyond that. Mr Sunak, if he was aware of our History and aware of the BBC as a beacon of Liberty, not only during the War, but until the Tory Party infiltrated it at the behest of Rupert Murdoch and the less reputable of the English Press, might care to know that Beethoven born in Bonn 1770, also supplied the BBC called sign, the first bar of his Fifth Symphony which were the Morse letter V for Victory. There is no shame in loving German Music there is nothing invidious to prefer Beethoven to MacCarteny and being a good and loyal citizen of the UK, and taste in European Culture is not inimical to fidelity to English canons of Taste. I do not find a love of Beethoven any obstacle to delighting in Jane Austen. It was his absurd, uncivilised snide remark that alienated me, that suggested that he did not understand either our History or our culture, and may I add another note, for those that are prejudiced against Labour before a week has passed, but contrived to overlook some of the invidious features of the Tory Party over fourteen Year, Brexit, since it was broached, and Reform now. It was a Conservative Prime Minister, Harold MacMillan who remarked that when he looked across at the Labour Party, he saw comrades in Arms with whom he had disagreements in peace time. Major Healey Beach Master at Anzio, who was, all the service chiefs agree,, the best post war minister of Defence, he saw Flight Lieutenant Benn, and Petty Officer Callaghan, Margaret Thatcher he remarked ruefully was not at the front, and she saw only enemies. And another note, congruent with what I have written elsewhere. Ronald Runcie, Archbishop of Canterbury, was ordained originally as a Lutheran [Dr, Starkey please note] He won the MC for gallantry in the Tank Corps, and Parkinson asked him about it. 'It is all past history now, but I produced it once, to refute Mrs Thatcher implied accusation that I was a traitor. I want to repeat that. What I find invidious in reactionaries is their caricature patriotism, their caricature of principle which when it is tested against behaviour is not only caricature but absurd and hypocritical and I return to that pedantic, strident Anne Widdicombe who storms out of the Anglican Church because she cannot worship her God, if a woman is the celebrant, [Her God, Lee's country, the possessive fear, the paranoia is obsessive, yes! An obsessive fear of reactionaries that pique themselves that their world, their church ,their country is exclusive of any other world or taste and must be defended or recovered come what may, but one wonder about their preciosity when the same woman that could not worship under say Lucy Winkett can join an outfit that endorses and is endorsed by a rapist and a Fraud to say the least, and I find that I do not want Anne's God, or Lee's country , at any price. I find I could not fight for that God or that country they want to protect or recover, and that is why Reform is for me beyond the Ethical Pale and those that succour it, or support it seem to me to be totally bereft of any principle to which I could subscribe and I could wish that none of my fellow country men were not so bereft either. I have been accused of snobbery! It was not I that criticised Michael Foot of wearing a 'duffle coat' at the Cenotaph but three of our populist tabloids. It was interesting that the Queen Mother was so offended by this criticism of Mr. Foot that she wrote to him and congratulated him on his choice over coat. I would have repelled the criticism rather more pointedly,'' by remarking that many officers in the Royal Navy died, wearing 'duffle coats' whilst serving the United Kingdom, that it to say the combined strength of England, Scotland, Wales and Ireland. I would have pointed out that on the ships that flew the White Ensign during the War, there were Moslems, West Indians, West Africans, and East Africans, Polish Volunteers, and Czechs, and that the Republic of Ireland actually had volunteers in the British Navy and won more medals for gallantry than Ulster. I would also have pointed out, to Brexiteers, that some very brave men who fought against the same Fascism as Reform stands for, were from Europe, the Commonwealth, the USA and Russia. I would also have remarked that the very same papers that manifested this populist distaste for 'duffle coats' resembled in their opinions and those of their readers, sentiments such as one could also find in the 'Volkische Beobachter', the NAZI paper. I should have suggested to those papers and their regular readers that they totally misunderstood the significance of the ceremonies at the Cenotaph which was to celebrate the combined forces of Liberty and was not intended as the house magazine of a gentleman's outfitters. Just so it is clear that Snobbery is a general prejudice against people' origins, irrespective of their situation, and should be distinguished from Standards of behaviour, conduct, and opinion which are are the hall mark of civilisation. I would not have dreamed at sneering at the presence of any sincere person present at such a ceremony by remarking on his or her dress. That would be 'infradig' . I would also remark that I have received greater civility from members of the Aristocracy, the Royal Family and true Gentry than from the ranks of Fascists that subscribe to the opinions of Reform or Brexit. Just so as you know that this is not inverse snobbery. The son of the last Emperor of the Austro-Hungarian Empire was Otto von Hapsburg, an MEP, and Ursula von der Leyen, by her name and record, issues from the same tradition of Aristocracy, but both have worked harder for the Unity of Europe on democratic principles than Nigel Farage, Donald Trump or any in the conspiracy against Democracy. I might have remarked that to cultivate the personna and costume or attitudes of some one from the nineteenth century, is less fitting than a duffle coat, and that Michael Foot, duffle coat or not, is dressed more fittingly for the occasion than Jacob Rees-Mogg at any assembly of people since the Great Exhibition of 1851. I trust I make, myself clear and indicated my provenance

I once met Nigel Farage at a charity do. He was surprisingly down to earth and extremely funny

I think we personally need to concentrate on what happening with the new elected government. These sorts of things are satellite stuff . Not an issue atm

When are you going to release a video on the disgrace of giving Jacqui Smith a peerage or Starmers £76,000 in personal hospitality and donations?

Never mind Farage 's links to Russia, what are yours ? Many people supported Assange and his freedom of speech, you cherry pick in an appalling manner. Many see yourself as a demagog twisting and exaggerating simple tenuous connections in the true meaning of the term demagog far more than Nigel Farage.

Are you really going there? Prof T has shown his sympathy with Assange. However he is likely a useful idiot for Putin.

LOL, you mean demagogue. You sure must be sent from another agency, cause that word sure won't come naturally out of Clapton. As for Assange, when we see him leaking Kremlin secrets, he might be let off the hook and seen as playing fair?
