I hadn't thought that wireframing comes as the next step of breaking the problem down even further from flow diagram. How you broke down the problem-solving approach with a series of consecutive steps makes a lot of sense.

Holy shit! Is that Gavin Belson signature there?! 🤔
@MalewiczHype4 жыл бұрын
Yes, we got him to sign it because I reminded him of his younger self - a nice, caring person that has the world's interest before his own. Or something ;-)

I learned about flow diagrams on google ux course and it was a bit confusing and seemed so complex! Your explanation definitely put all the dots on my "i"'s that caused confusion! Thank you!

Glad it helped! I'm actually making a book full of those "easier" explanations of UX, preorders are open :-) gum.co/guidetoux As sometimes course creators tend to try and make things seem more complex to feel better about themselves being geniuses for knowing it ;-)

I learned it the same way. But yes, always we can make explanations simpler
@marcelstaiger91002 жыл бұрын
Thank you. Is it necessary to create an all encompassing flow diagram before starting or do you start before your flow diagram is showing all possibilities? What would be the minimum connections or topics to cover in your first flow diagram?
@MalewiczHype2 жыл бұрын
Not really - if the flow is simple you may not even need to make it at all. And in most cases what we do is we make a high level one - meaning some parts of the diagram can encompass multiple screens (like registration flow --> home screen, because registration flow is a pretty simple one and quite repetitive)

Glad it was helpful! Of course this is complete basics, but hopefully it can make it easier to learn further.

At first glance it could seems to be a silly observation, but we are talking about communicate through design here ;-)

not sure if this note is gonna make sense, but i love how this video is visually DRASTICALLY different from the previous two. I know a lot of UX examples bring up many products like doors and ketchup bottles, but in a way did your new angle of framing and unique background have anything to do with your audience's "UX" in mind when making this video?

I'm working on a flow diagram assignment and KZbin made sure to show me your video first. I wonder why 😏 Thank you for being an awesome teacher! Is that some JS on the board? 🤩

Haha those posters are in our hype4 office, the JS one is from a joke code we found somewhere once :-) Glad these helped, I plan to revisit them soon as it's a pretty old video :)
