great description of how filters are used, but there are two more uses for an ND filter, that is, in Large format and tilt shift photography with 135/MF format cameras, this allows you to use the lens wide open (lowering the depth of field, so you can selective focus with the movements). It also allows you to open up from f22/F32 so you can get away from lens diffraction limitations, you use the filter combined with iris to get the exposure correct, without going too far closed.

Well produced, succinct and to the point. Lacock Photography Club have members doing short presentations on a variety of subjects, and Fiona has asked if I would do one on filters. As a Kase user myself (you convinced me at the 2019 Photography Show) it would be useful to incorporate your video into my short 'show and tell' I've been asked present - do you mind?
