Hi George, great video. I'm using the pads sold on amazon. "GREEN FASHION Electric Unicycle Leg Pads." The look the same as the Pads on Ewheels web page " Inmotion V11 PowerPads." I have them on my MSX and RS. The pads have front and back foot leverage support. I use Velcro to attach them to the wheel. The Velcro is so freaking strong you do not need anything else to hold them on. Use lots of Velcro, not just a couple strips. With the Velcro you can make micro adjustments to place them just right. I've covered the entire adhesive surface of the pads with the hook part of the Velcro and the soft fuzzy Velcro covers entire sides of the wheel. So I can move the pads up, down, forward or backwards. The pads that came with my RS ( Electric Unicycle PowerPads v2) are worthless. They have nothing to grab the top of your foot or back heel. Design wise I like having leverage support on the top of the foot and back of the heal.
@GoGeorge3 жыл бұрын
Thanks for sharing! I agree the back heel support is clutch

I don’t think those green fashion pads from Amazon will work on the v11. They claim in the Amazon description they work but I don’t see how they can attach, and several reviewers say they don’t work. Great idea about Velcro.

@416-Toronto3 жыл бұрын
Good job George this is the info I needed. You should try the Inmotion seat I really love it, the v11 is sooo nice to ride seated compared to other EUC. Plus it really increases your stamina to be able to take a little break whenever you want while staying 'Inmotion'. My primary concern about the Clark Pads is that I won't be able to use the seat anymore.
@GoGeorge3 жыл бұрын
yeah i might try the seat someday. im not a huge fan of seated riding personally i have built up my stamina to where i can ride for 4 hours straight no issue. but if i come across one in my travels i will certainly try it !
@jayknight850 Жыл бұрын
I have a V12, and the sides are slightly dome shaped which makes pads kinda chicnky to Velcro on. Then I tried “store bought “ pads only about 70% of the pad’s Velcro was on the Inmotion Velcro discs that stick to the dome area. I had a set of V12 specific pads 3D printed and they worked great, now I feel my feet are in the same location every launch. I see what ya mean now!

Nice review. I, too, am waiting for an Inmotion version for my V8F. No jumping for me, but really like the point of indexing the feet positions.
@GoGeorge3 жыл бұрын
The indexing is definitely an under rated benefit

having a friend or 2 to help hold the clark pads in the right position as you stand on the wheel will help tremendously getting the pad in the correct spot. But you gotta get friends lol

Oops i forgot to do the install lol. The v11 version is actually really nice you can fasten the screws first to hold it before you peel the tape 👍

Two questions man. First of all how do you know those knee pads. I have the same ones and I don’t even wear them because they slip down to much. Secondly what would you say is more essential in your eyes pedal spikes or power pads? My feet tend to slide around when I’m riding off road which is most of my riding.
@TheLillianYoung3 жыл бұрын
I never used them until I got the V11 and felt that my legs weren’t secure. Now I’m comfy with power pads and can’t imagine not using them.

They woyld be to low to get your feet underneath them. The v11 clark pad has that long extension on it for the screw mounting area. I could maybe make a backing that i screw the pads onto and then screw the backing on the wheel. But its fine for now, i do like the pads still

What are the pads you have stuck to the saddle? Do they beef it up a bit? Add grip?

Those are some pads i 3d printed to add a little width to the machine so the top is even with the clark pads. The clark pads kinda stick off the body of the machine a bit so these just make it a more seemless face

I really like the ability to lift your heel when riding. The advantage with no ball to catch your heel on is there's a little bit more freedom to move your feet around, which I really like. I just spiked my pedals and I would have to say it probably double the effectiveness of my power pads. The control gain I felt when I install power pads has doubled with power pads and spiked pedals. The confidence and control I feel when doing the single track mountain bike trails is undescribable compared to having no pads and spikes. I highly recommend doing both you won't regret it! The only negative side effect with spiked pedals and power pads is overconfidence LOL! The first time I went out after doing both it felt so good I had a burm cut out from being too aggressive and leaning the wheel too hard!
@GoGeorge3 жыл бұрын
lol awesome insight! thanks for sharing! i can totally see the aggression ramping up when you gain that control
@Surf4223 жыл бұрын
Regarding city riding, alot of times a rider might want to get up over a 7 inch curb. Do you need pads to do that?
@GoGeorge3 жыл бұрын
Not all rider will need pads but personally i would definitely need pads. Especially on the v11. 7 inches is a big curb to be jumping so you will need to get the wheel off the ground
@richardgarrett31883 жыл бұрын
With the suspension design of the V11, you really need the backplate bolted onto the arms. I bought the Inmotion power pads and am sorely disappointed at the very little adhesive contact area they will have on the arms. I won't even put them on out of fear that they adhesive will let loose when I am leaning resulting in a crash.
@GoGeorge3 жыл бұрын
Oh dang do the inmotion pads not have screw holes? seems like a major missed opportunity
@davidhopkins3 жыл бұрын
Thanks George. I’ve given up on my fly pads from Hulaj. I think they were too hard. My feet didn’t settle into them so it hurt to jump. But they also made it hard to get my feet out in a hurry. I’ve never loved the connection between me and my v11. I felt more physically connected to my Kingsong 18xl. I wonder if power pads will help. From your review these look much better than the fly pads. Have you tried the inmotion pads?
@GoGeorge3 жыл бұрын
Haven't had a chance to try the inmotion pads yet. They look nice though. And yeah, the clark pads are definitely more comfortable than the flypads where . Idk if they are 5x more comfortable like they are 5x as expensive lol but they are at least a lot more comfortable
@davidhopkins3 жыл бұрын
@@GoGeorge There are some very suspicious looking pads on Aliexpress as well. The photos are not consistent as to where the pads are placed. It doesn't look like Inmotion is selling its pads yet. George, you gotta take one for the team and try these all out for us. Also, I hope you are following up with Clark. I'd like to know why the rear nob isn't in the V11 pad.

Perhaps a good thing about not having the ball behind your shoe is that if you have to bail its easier to get off.
@GoGeorge3 жыл бұрын
Maybe a tiny bit, but it did not feel like a problem at all on my buddys pads. The back ball is significantly smaller both in diameter and height so it really does not lock you in at all. It just grabs your shoe when jumping. So like naturally as you jump the front of your foot touches the knob, and it takes a lot of foot effort to keep your feet flat to hold the wheel. The back knob makes it so as your feet get pushed back, they contact the knob and you dont need to strain to hold the machine up
@Shuttermemory3 жыл бұрын
Nice info there. I had a pad from inmotion, and decided not to install it. Tried it once and it looks hideous. Way to big. And I don't like the feel "locked in" as I like to ride casually and move around my legs. And it's blocking my feet when I'm sitting or standing up riding vice versa. I don't get the spikey honeycomb pedals for that same reason.
