Although this comment is old, I thought it important to explain from the perspective of someone who is an Akashic reader. It is difficult to understand just because we do not understand everything outside of this universe. The Akashic exists outside of this universe. We don’t know why it is there or how it completely operates. There may be some Akashic reader out there who does. It is the same as the Tao. I know that based of what I’ve read about both and what I’ve seen. I cannot tell you 100% how it works, but I can tell you about the “stored memory.” People think that it is an entirely separate memory bank. It is not. It is not God, but God exists within it, and they are intertwined. I’ve seen the multiverse within it. Think of it more as a template that can be manifested into to create things. I cannot tell you the quantum physics behind it because the concept of quantum physics does not exist outside of this universe. Everything that defines quantum physics was brought about at the big bang. God is just energy. It is a very intelligent energy, but energy cannot be created or destroyed, only transformed. All of the synapses in our brains are energetic processes that are important in the formation of memory. Mind, body and energy is all interconnected. Now, this force as a whole does not have neurons, but energy creates memory. That energy can never be destroyed, so even if that energy becomes something else, it still has a past and operates like a neural network in terms of everything being interconnected. God is something that is all beings, all times and all places and the basis energy that everything came from. He remembers all and knows all because he is all. We are all God, so when you are tapping into a past event in the Akashic, you are just seeing all the things God in terms of just this universe has done. There is so much more to the Akashic, but I’m just explaining seeing the past. Remote viewing is also a part of it. That is because we’re all God who exists everywhere simultaneously. Same answer for the chakra healings you can do in it. It’s tapping into my energy that exists within another person. Why I see all the infinite possibilities that is the future, it’s because the past and present choices create the future. So, you see everything that will happen based on various different choices, and the future only begins to solidify once those choices are made. How this happens, I can’t totally explain. I can only say that the memory is the energy that God is, which exists within a template that each universe can use to create things and experiences within themselves. They work hand in hand. It isn’t stored separately. It’s stored everywhere and is the energy itself. That’s just what I’ve learned so far

part of the problem of "seeing" the infinite through finite symbolic lenses can be those imaginations mentioned. The symbols are an issue. I'm not saying I actually know how to do this but I think to actually access those "records" one needs to have direct experience not mediated by symbolic representations. In modern scientific literature it is called "persistent non-symbolic experience" but it has been given various names by various spiritual traditions over time. It is a specific mental state where we don't "automagically" categorize everything into symbols.

We use words, math equations, computer programs, etc., which are all groups of symbols that represent a "thing." However, these symbols don't actually represent "things" but rather more symbols. The "imaginations" mentioned could be a byproduct of this automatic categorization. There is a way to conceptually stop this, as I mentioned previously with "persistent non-symbolic experience." These "higher-level concepts" defy typical categorization, which can lead to the "imaginations" mentioned.

To be clear, "persistent non-symbolic experience" simply means being in that state constantly for a year or more, and there is a wealth of research on this specific state. However, we all enter that state from time to time, often referred to as a "flow state." While not exactly the same, it is very close. To avoid these imaginations, one needs to stop the automatic categorization, at least temporarily during the practice. I'm not sure how practical it would be for a human to experience non-symbolic states every day and all day. It might make normal life difficult since normal life heavily relies on the use of symbols.

In this example, a person has a map that is very detailed, but it is a two-dimensional representation of a dynamic and changing landscape. If they mistakenly expect to see a static and unchanging 2D landscape, they will be really surprised when they get to the location described by the map. When they actually see the terrain, it is almost nothing like the map, and if they try to use the symbols from the map in a literal way to describe what they see, that could be like those "imaginations" mentioned.
