Wonderful Chris, thank you for sending this out to your subscribers - very useful - I put it in LingQ so I can study it a line at a time. Thanks for all the effort - you're a big inspiration to a lot of us... Daniel Léo Simpson Composer San Francisco

Yes I also love the format. It seems difficult to find any shows that show me the characters AND the pinyin for pronunciation. Wish everything was formatted this way.

This is great, it's tough to find good text with characters and pinyin and with audio added as a bonus. Good stuff!

As I am learning about meditation and Buddhism, I stopped studying Chinese because I realized my Chinese-learning was ego-driven. But those of you doing it out of genuine desire, like Chris, don’t give up and keep having fun in the learning process. I salute you all. :) love you all

Hope you keep at it with your content. Being a fellow white guy, you give me inspiration that a westerner like me can learn it. I have a question I don't think I've seen answered, but about how long would you say it took before you were able to comprehend most things spoken at a fast rate? How long did it take you to register the normal native sound speed?

the pronunciation is quiet well

If you could just add 正體字 to any new video like this, even if it’s in a smaller front, along with your usual 簡體字, it would really help some of us!

Can you make videos on vocabulary? Also on Strucure?

I have some videos about sentence structure already, check the grammar videos on my channel :-)

Sometimes when translating,the translator expresses the meaning of what is being said rather than the word for word translation.I find this unhelpful and confusing.....you in this video have not done that. Every word here can be related clearly to it's English counterpart.
@FluentinMandarinDotCom6 жыл бұрын
Yes the translation is more literal, but I still have to write correct English!

How? They are listed in the video. Knowing Chinese is definitely increasing my employability (even though I'm not intending to work in china or even work in business related jobs).. It always amazes my interviewers.
