I'm a veteran, was actually addicted to alcohol and cigarettes. I suffered severe depression and mental disorder. Got diagnosed with cptsd. Not until my wife recommended me to psilocybin mushrooms treatment. Psilocybin treatment saved my life honestly. 8 years totally clean. Never thought I would be saying this about mushrooms.

Mushrooms are very medicinal. This is why anybody familiar with psilocybin and any other kind of fungi will tell you, "They are alive." They have a very ancient wisdom. To my experience, all mushrooms have always said, "Pay attention to your life. How you think, how you feel, and what will you do with the information that you always knew, but now are seeing in this point of view." This is why mushrooms are so respected in tribal cultures. This mental health treatment works for me too. Half micro doses do the trick for me. At least a few days at a time with lengthy time in between. Never addictive. Thank you for sharing this point!

I’m 5 weeks in and have already been so much more productive. I’m yet to find my purpose, or even have any idea, as I’ve always been in jobs I hate, but simply done them for a pay-check. I hope that I’ll find my purpose now that I’ve made my mind up that alcohol doesn’t provide me any benefits whatsoever. I didn’t use Will power this time, I changed my thought process on alcohol itself. It’s really made it so much easier to give away.

I highly recommend Allen Carr’s book, Quit Alcohol Now. It completely changes your mindset regarding what alcohol is, to the point you vey quickly completely stop craving it. People see alcohol as a ‘reward’. It isn’t, it’s an addictive, highly damaging poison that you don’t need in any capacity.
@sherylpockrose40294 жыл бұрын
I liked the book til he got to the part where he said that the whole culture of wine and wine tasting is just a cover for being alcoholic. I don't think that's true. People with a drinking problem don't care about the quality and don't drink expensive wines. For people who don't have a problem with alcohol, a drink in a social setting or a tasting event isn't a problem.

This video is extremely helpful for me. I just had one of the worst drunks that I've ever experienced and I've been trying to quit for so long. I puked my bathroom and then passed out and had a seizure on the floor and I didn't even know where the hell I was. I was so dizzy and delusional that I didn't even know which way was up I was late on the floor just bouncing around and it's going to hit my head on the edge of the sink too but I am going to keep watching your videos because I've been trying to find the right coaching or counseling but it's so hard because I live out in the country and don't have a vehicle because I got a DUI. I've been struggling to quit for so long but it's hard when you've been a drinker since age 13. It is put a complete major strain on my relationship because I would get aggressive if I drank too much because she would start yelling at me and didn't want to talk to me because I was drinking. And the binges would go for days and days and then I would sit in my basement like I am now detoxing and going through crazy shakes and not being able to sleep for the life of me I have that same pain under my rib cage right now so this really spoke out to me. I have the shakes so bad I can almost not text this message out. I really really want to get my life on track. I used to be so responsible and mature but I don't think I have ever come close to reaching my full potential as a human being. I've always wanted to be a motivational speaker and I've always wanted to be in marketing and sales but I can't stay sober long enough to get anybody to follow me. I've always wanted to get in really good shape but I hear you about the workouts. I feel like I'm just wasting my time because I'm drinking within 24 hours of my workouts I see so much of myself in your story so I find it very inspiring to see what my life can look like once I'm free from my addiction.

Everything true and i would also add saving lots of money to use in other ways. How anyone can give it a 'thumbs down' is beyond me.

Thank you for your honesty in sharing your story. I needed to hear this. My Dad was an alcoholic and I am tending to follow in his footsteps. I am going to get help to quit now. Thank you!!!

William Byrnell hi mate. Look into The Sinclair Method! Seriously it’s amazing. I have been doing it with great success! I urge you to watch a documentary about the method called ‘One Little Pill’. You can find it here on KZbin. I urge you to try The Sinclair Method. Such a natural and easy way to un-learn your addiction and to become de-addicted to alcohol! Good luck 😉

I used to drink a pint of Brandy a day and before that it was a pint and a half - 2 pints of vodka a day. In March it'll be 3 years since my last drink of alcohol. ONE OF THE BEST DECISIONS I'VE EVER MADE. I'm still really excited about it lol

He may have mentioned in other vids but on his blog he mentions wayyyy better skin. At the 3rd week of not drinking, I started shedding abnormally all over my body. It was gross but my skin feels so much better than when I was drinking every day/night

If it is to be it is up to me. My health only effects me. Be selfish. Be healthy. Be whole. No blame, just wholeness, health. I am on day 3. Covid lock down got me drinking a bottle a day. Very negative health consequences. I have to heal myself. No one else can. This is true bliss.

great video. I know of many tragic lives ending early from alcohol abuse. I have not got the discipline of yourself where I could go cold turkey, but I have reduced my intake by over 80%, never binge drink, and have stretches of detox days. Like yourself I have noticed a major difference, especially in weight loss where I dropped 27kgs and got rid of my beer gut. Keep promoting a healthy lifestyle. It will save many lives. Well done.

Chris, i so appreciate this video. this is such a great one and I so appreciate you sharing this. I am 13 days today and I feel so good. I have to admit that - i am so excited and eager to be going through this and be a part of a community with you. I am even more excited to know what the future holds for me because of your video. I have to agree with so much you say. esp with the exercise. the past couple of days I find myself after work heading home and i actually WANT to walk home (NYC here)... when i was hungover and going to work, i would be so exhausted i would take cabs (11-15 bucks each way) just to go home, lay down and drink more. looking back it all seems so freaking foolish. I also relate to what you said about exhausting that idea of alcohol as a way to have fun with it or make things better. i did that and i feel the same. i feel like its time is over for me - it did what it did, but i came out lower. thanks again. i truly appreciate it. -alex.
