I’m a plumber and I wear a hondo boot for all that indoor and outdoor work I do.. fantastic boot and I don’t ever need to worry about that awful insole that many boot makers use. I concur with you 100 percent, best boot for the price or I would argue the best boot period! Great video !

If they are style 2670, they are called “The Jeremiah”…coincidence?

There's a distinct lack of biting snakes and cougars in the UK but I sure do wish we could get tall top Hondos here! Cool looking boots.

I got my very first pair of Hondos this summer on the way back to Canada at Ray's Western Wear in SD. These electric blue babies are the bomb! I am impressed how comfortable these boots are...and the leather smell wow!!!

If I had to guide a new boot wearer on a pair, I would definitely recommend Hondo. Top quality for competitive price and they feel like comfortable socks once you break them in. I have 2 pairs of tall top boots (the Jeremiah and the 2210s) and those things are so fun to wear

You got me hooked on hondo early-on and I stand by your opinions. Best bang for your buck by far!

I was gonna buy the tacovas cartwright but after seeing this video I'm probably going to buy a hondo boot instead they look amazing and they're so well built 100% traditional. Can't go wrong with that thanks for the great video jeremiah I look forward to trying out the 2670

I got a 8555 all black bull hide. It's my favorite boot I'm gonna try to buy Hondo from now on

The best boots? The ones you want to rock! Love the coloured shafts, most of the time people don't see it but I like knowing that there is a pop of colour under my jeans.

Great video. And you are correct, there is no boot that comes close to Hondo in their price range. And I have found new Hondo boots priced down to $150 range for $300 boots. My tall tops are the ones with the rubber midsole and I am very happy with them.

Hey JC, I would absolutely love if you made a video on cowboy boot care/repair at home. Lots of boot fans don't have either the money or the access to a cobbler. Thanks.

I have had success using thin (1.8mm) vibram rubber soles bonded onto new boots with contact adhesive (klebfest). They work great on leather soles, on my last pair (Tony Lama) the uppers split after I'd worn them for many years and the soles were still like new. More recently, I bought Ariat rubber sole boots (fairly flat sole pattern) and did the same, I had to re-bond a couple of places, but I've been wearing them a few months and the stitching/original soles are protected nicely. Once the heels have worn a bit, I will add the thin rubber to the heels as well. Try it, worst case scenario, you can just peel the rubber off and you're back to your boot being like new.

Hello, I really enjoy your channel. I'm hoping you can answer a question for me. I recently bought a pair of ariat boots with duraflex soles. Can these boots be re-soled when the current soles wear out?

Just purchased my first pair of Hondo black shoulder 9604 11B cowboy boots this is my 4th pair of Cowboy boots within 7mths I don't think I will ever wear lace shoes again I hve my eyes on some Toma Loma square toel black Goat leather soled and Black Pirruchus and black and white cowhide cowboy boots by the time I reach my one year mark. I know I could hve more boots if I go used but that's No No No I rather deal with the break in time like I'm doing with my Hondos, Mexican Made Mexican Sold🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊

Im so glad you did this. Becuase I never could had known this. And for me with foot conditions I need an actual midsole. And this looks like a hybrid design. Where unlike the PNW Logger and Cowboy Packer patterns, this uses a half midsole unless its cut down in someway?

I know a bootmaker near me who makes good boots but he doesn't do welts. I know historical cowboy boots didn't have welts, but how critical are they for a durable boot?

Hondo and Tecovas shouldn’t even be mentioned in the same sentence. Yet I did. Tecovas are cheaply made, mass produced boots that appeal to the tennis shoe crowd. Instead of investing into quality materials and workmanship, you are paying for marketing jackasses and investors. Looking at the constant complaining about Tecovas production flaws/ defects, I would guess that their return rate is somewhat between 30-50 %. Think about the environmental impact of that for a minute. While traditional made cowboy boots , due to their ability to be resoled/ repaired, are some of the “greenest” footwear you could own. Lastly, most traditional cowboy boot manufacturers sell through family owned retail, therefore creating jobs as well as supporting local economies. What about Direct to Consumer…? Exactly. You vote with your hard earned money.

HI Jeremiah, it has been a while since I been to your channel. I been having a tough year, I lost both of my parents in three months. I hope you are doing ok. When are you going back in the road visiting cowboy boot stores? Take care bud.
