Obviously late to the conversation, I am just getting into saltwater fishing: But on the topic of night feeding trout? I was able to observe and absolute FRENZY at a marina last year in April. - HUNDREDS of trout going crazy for small shiners/minnows, not sure what they were. They fed from about 10 Pm to 3 am.
