And the EE is adding a tons of mechanics, like lord death and generation, better management etc etc.. the mod is in activity management which is indeed rare now. Also i find the formations in 1257 soo satisfying. I don't know if is an entire submod or what.

You've not mentioned one of the best parts about Perisno: how much you can customize it. From custom Armors to literary being able to create and name your own troop trees, you can have a field day if you want to rp in this mod.

My favorite mod would be 457 A.D. It's an incredibly immersive historical mod which brings one into the times of late Roman Empire. The scale of battles is insane, it's historically accurate, the scenery is absolutely beautiful, so good that even if you're just a history nerd, you shouod walk around Constantinople and Ctesiphon.

You should give Age of Arthur a try. Its Brytenwalda meets Crusader Kings, with some magical elements that suit the legendary setting. It adds more diplomacy and role-playing options on top of Brytenwalda, and you can even have children and play as one of them after perma-death. It also has settlement building- you can start a village which can eventually be upgraded into a city, allowing you to start your kingdom from scratch. Unfortuately it is buggy and super janky, and the troops don't look all that great, but the mod really improves on the outside-of-combat gameplay.

I love Nova Aetas, but the lack of diplomacy options aside from "declare war/ask for peqce" or"become vassal" reqlly kill the political aspect of kingdom management for me. Wish it could have diplomacy fully on it

Little shocked you didn't have 16th century on here. It covers many of the things you listed here well and has a huge variety of factions. Indian sultans, Aztec warriors, polish hussars, and Japanese samurai can all be in your army sieging from Moscow to the Congo. It's made by Chinese people so the English isn't perfect but man it has so many features. Also you can build your own village and castle anywhere on the map and it comes with a map that shows the factions borders in real time.

The only mods that were actual updates since release of the native game, and were done well enough to compete are: Viking Conquest, In The Name Of Jerusalem, A Clash Of Kings, The Last Days, With Fire And Sword, Napoleonic Wars, and maybe Gekokujo, while all the other mods are either incomplete, or poor makeovers of the native game.

Have you tried Age of Sword & Sorcery? It has both Guns and Magic, same swordfight animations as Tohlobaria, but most faction troops have same stats and equipment/Armor rating.

I like Nova Aetas, but the nords still being vikings in the 1400s is a bit weird to me, i wish there was more medieval mods set in Calradia like a 1300 setting

@Terry Duke no that's clearly not the case as there are 2 different viking factions. But then again the word "renaissance" does mean to go back to the old days, in a way it makes sense, but it's just weird seeing how the Nords are clearly based on Norway, which during the 15th century were far removed from pagan society. In Nova Aetas, the nords are clearly divided between pagan and Christian-like religion. I don't mind the religious renaissance theme, but chain mail and Gjermundbu helmets are just a weird decision. But it's not a bad mod by any standard, I just feel they gave some factions a weird treatment.

A little late to comment on this, but are there any big Warsword Conquest fans here that know about the technical side of things? It’s my absolute favorite mod of all time for any game, not just Warband, but I have endless issues with crashing due to texture loading issues and running out of video memory (which is insane, I have an RTX 3080). I have tried several clean installs, yes I have load textures on demand ticked, etc. I’ve tried many things. I’m looking for anything that could possibly help the issue so any and all suggestions are welcome; thank you.

I never really played online. Recently I tried Beta Force II (a star wars mod), with the intention of reviewing it. Only to remember why I never played it before; it was only MP. It’s virtually dead now. But I tried it nonetheless and was very impressed with it. Would’ve been fun to try back when it was popular.

Of course! Bought it as soon as it came out! And I was immediately disappointed that it was early access. Although it's much improved now, I didn't feel like wasting all my love of the game on an incomplete version. Even modders did not mod it nearly as much as warband, because frequent updates would cause compatibility issues. Though I know more ambitious mods are starting to come out so I will definitely make bannerlord content in the future.

Speaking of which in one of the recent updates Bannerlord has given players the option to host their own custom servers. You should consider hosting your own when the time is right and have us join up with you. It would make for some killer content.

My problem with warband mods is that essentially they are all the same. All of them are: gather army, join king/found kingdom, fight battles, conquer world, end of story with some slight modifications or some side quests. All of them are the same thing with different coats of paints.

Yeah, that's by design though. Warband provides a unique gameplay experience and mods are all about putting that gameplay feel into different settings. If you want a mod that changes the gameplay drastically, you can try "Explorer!", though you will see that removing some core elements of the gameplay doesn't work well.

The one crash I have in Perisno is from battles that are too big. If it's the same to you, go to options and reduce battle size to 250-300, work from there. If the crash still occurs, go down to 150.

Anyways, can you tell me your graphics settings? HDR, shadow, etc. if you had time can you please screenshot it and upload it somewhere? I'd like to try your stable settings for a gameplay purposes.

@@irulannaba6970 well the settings are there, feel free to tweak and experiment. My pc is fairly high end so my settings are irrelevant to your own experience. I can say though that unless your monitor has HDR, there's no point in enabling it. As for anti-aliasing, like i said, if you turn it off and see an improvement, there you go. I read somewhere the game only utilizes one core of the cpu, meaning if that one core gets overloaded, it will cause the game to be unstable and crash. Which is why the main thing to do is reduce battle size. Some mods have bugs of their own too of course. Perisno crashed maybe twice in the past week. No big deal for me personally.

What do you think about tainted paths? Is hard to learn and i personally did not play more than 60 days in game, the mod is probably the most ambitious i have seen but is abandoned as far as i know and the world unfortunately lacks action in my opinion, even though it involves the whole planet Earth, or most of it.

Gekokujo is one of the worst mods ever being that popular. Multiple identical factions and each looks the same with only different colour of armour. Gameplay sucks, worse is only in the star wars mod.
