Thanks for the analysis! The tire wear comparison between different traction control settings might be interesting to explore too.

Great video. What helps also with TCS if you set it to 0 is to have a better understanding of how manual transmission can help. Hitting the apex of a hairpin turn with TCS at zero and a manual transmission down shifting to first as you’re almost coming to a complete stop will use the RPM act as a brake an almost pulling you into it and then switching rapidly between first and second gear (switching to second gear if you feel the car about to get away from you) will decrease torque power and then switching back to first feathering the gas to get out of the turn quickly and then back into second soon as that power band kicks in.

Nice work keeping speeds and lines the same around corners in the tests. Not easy to do.

Strange… I just got PS5/GT7 about a few weeks ago and I’m finding TCS-1 very useful. Now on GT Sport… I only used TCS on standing starts and then quickly turned it off. Maybe I’m just not used to the new physics yet on GT7 because the cars don’t feel as stable as GT Sport but hopefully I’ll get used to it. I knew most of the GT Sport tracks very well and I wasn’t the best driver I was still A-S or B-S rated driver. Finding it a little more difficult on GT7 but you make some of the best Gran Turismo content out IMO

Great video! What do you think about the ASM setting, can this be helpful or does it work against you?

Thanks, good with heavy twitchy cars, race cars on the other hand are a bit slower with it. Still, if it gives you confidence go with it

I didn't really understand TCS. I played GT3 and 4 as a kid and if those had TCS too, no idea, didn't know about it then, and got GT7 last Christmas. I noticed, being completely ignorant to how TCS really worked, that I was able to pick up speed in corners faster; I struggled to do a mission for example with TCS 5 until I dropped it down to 2 because the power was simply tapped out otherwise and I was always a half second off. But then I notice too maneuverability can seem awful the lower it drops. Basically, you have to experiment in time trial and get a feel for the track and the car. Lots of trial and error to get the most optimal time you can.

I like using 1 tcs on RWD and even AWD cars and 0 on FWD

Hiya buddy, i hope you are keeping well. I have not been using TC, in the little i have played, as i didnt in GT sport. Its quite strange the game is now faster with it. I just wondered what your thoughts are on PD making a game like this, where TC is required
@a.l.17072 жыл бұрын
TC isn’t required, but what Digit is saying in the video that a low TC can help certain cars in certain situations. In the real world GT3 cars are made to drive with TC on for example, so from a realism perspective PD has made this setting more realistic. Which is good. If you’re into that sort of thing :)

I used to run 0 tc on gt sport but in gt7 its so uncontrollable (Aston gr3 cars)

What about a wet road? What would be best for that situation?

Depends on the weather, but that a video for itself

In my experience TC still slows you down in the wet if you have very good throttle control with it off. Some road cars though... No shame in using it 🤣

I never use TCS. It’s good for beginners to learn. But you will be faster with TCS off once you learn the limits of the car.

On Brands Hatch even TC 1 slows me down in getting out of the corner, I am way faster on TC 0 (RCZ Gr.3)
@mattnichols35392 жыл бұрын
you use a wheel or controller? I find tc0 is too hard on controller, but maybe i need to get used to it. i use the 911

I have the same problem but I use a G29
@promptoargentum4672 жыл бұрын
Yes, because tc cuts engine power so you may have less traction out of the corners i think. It would be nice if you can change setup on sport race, maybe with the goal of reducing oversteering, expecially for some car, so you may have better and solid race pace, probably better tyre wearing.

How do we get TC, but not brake bias adjustment with BOP? Sony/PD really f’d up this release. I am switching to ACC…

I'm much better learning it on zero. I end up being faster. I hate it when it kicks in. Even set at 1...
