I’m sorry to inform you, but you’re incorrect about the SDVOSB certification. It’s is a federal cert through the SBA. I started my SDVOSB contracting company in May and won 2 contracts by August from 2 different VA hospitals. I used the federal (SAM.gov) database to bid on them….

Good video, but I definitely would not follow the advice about not trying to get federal contracts in the beginning. I started with federal contracts and have had better succes with them than state level contracts.

Thank you for your feedback. I would disagree with advising people to start with federal contracting because most of the people that find my content are new business and new to the contracting space which would mean the likelihood that they have the financial and personnel capacity would be very low to fulfill a federal contract also, most instances they look at your past performances to determine if you are a good candidate to be awarded a contract But that’s great to hear that you’ve done well in the federal space, congratulations!
