I got Omicron on NYE, my symptoms are almost word for word what this doc said - slightly scratchy throat, bit of nasal congestion, night sweats, occasionally nausea, appetite down a bit. Also initially had joint aches in my knees and a headache. However no trouble breathing, energy levels okay and overall symptoms are very mild (have had hangovers that feel worse).

I don't know if I have it as to get an appointment for testing took a while and felt odd a dat ago, but my upper pipes are "froggy" and "itchy" and experienced, much earlier today, body aches and minor yet oscillating fever that have improved with relaxation and 400 mg ibuprofen. I can taste/smell stuff, no nasal congestion, no shortness no breath, any dry coughs were 100% voluntary to clear my throat, and no sweats.

Tested positive today. Will update. DAY 1 (Saturday, July 2): Sore throat, fatigue and a severe tension headache which lasted for 24 hours. It finally eased down with Tylenol, but I felt mild pressure pain on my temples. DAY 2: Sore throat and headache disappeared in the morning. In the late afternoon, however, my throat started to feel like sandpaper every time I swallowed. Not necessarily painful, but it was certainly an annoyance (comparable to an itch that a scratch can't fix or a small spider crawling around my esophagus). Had a dry cough for 3 hours and developed a runny nose after taking a shower. DAY 3: Woke up feeling relatively normal, other than a runny nose with more mucus than usual. Had a wet cough, which went away after I coughed up a bit of mucus. Throat feels clear now, but I feel as if there's an irritant still lingering in the lower parts of my throat. Head feels a bit cloudy and my surroundings look very hypnagogic and transitory.

Hypnagogic…I like that word and it perfectly describes what I feel today as well as feeling things are surreal. I am lucky; my symptoms are relatively light compared to the rest of the household. Thank you for your timeline. This helps me prepare for what may possibly come in the next few days. My 8-year-old daughter has it. Here’s her timeline: Sunday 11/20/22 started to feel unwell. Little cough. Monday low fever 100.2 slept all day Tuesday feeling better. A little cough 100 degree fever throughout the day and night. Wednesday she says she feels fine. 98.6 temp. I’m really hoping she doesn’t go backwards and all of a sudden get more sick. Thought i saw somewhere that some people get better and then at the 10-12 day mark they’ll get really sick. As for me, I’m 53 and felt a little unwell and headache on Tuesday. I feel better, but it’s still early in the day. Tested negative in Tuesday. I’ll test again if i start having symptoms other than headache. Her dad is 48 and has headache and body aches and feeling of his body fighting off something. Also tested negative.

I just got the covid Omicron today. So far I think I'm OK. Just a quite strong fever, chills and a lot of cold sweats. I also feel a lot tired, and having a bad headache. Yall stay safe. 🙏🏻🙏🏻 UPDATE: Day 2: still having fever/cold sweats Body aches and head aches still persisting A strong feeling of fatigue and lost of taste and appetite I had to wake up at 3 in the morning as I was unable to breathe properly. I've been having a lot of rest and been taking Tylenol Day and Night to cope with the fever Day 3(currently): mild fever and headaches Body aches are nearly gone But my throat has started aching again and I'm not really able to speak. Still feeling tired and dizzy. UPDATE: Day 4: fever, mild headaches, developed a flu and throat still aching Body aches are gone however I often have a sudden and strong feeling of fatigue and dizziness. I'm having occasional coughs. I'm still taking Tylenol Day n Night and I'm having a lot of rest. Day 5(current): fever and headaches are nearly gone Runny nose and sore throat are still prevalent. Otherwise I still need to rest because of the fatigue. Still having occasional coughs. Again, thank you all for your wishes. 🙏🏻🙏🏻

Night issues: body pain (feels like my body is imploding, like my ribs are being squeezed together), heightened chest congestion & drip, gasping for air, confusion, etc. No night sweats until the 4th night (last night), but hardly any sweats at all. Just woke up feeling clammy.

Unvaccinated 30 year old female here who recently tested positive for covid. Over Christmas break both of my kids came down with something and had fever cough and loss of appetite. Both recovered within 3 days. The day after Christmas I started to develop symptoms of tight and sore muscles, pain in the back of my head, eyes, and low back. cramping calves and quads to the point where I lived with a heating pad rotating it from my low back to legs throughout the night. I then developed a burning sensation in my nose and throat that lasted a day and resulted in losing taste and smell. I was restless and nauseous also developed a dry cough dizziness and pain in my chest. Day 7 and I'm finally starting to feel more like myself. Still can't smell or taste and get dizzy and winded easily. Throughout being sick and currently taking vitamins C D and zinc as well as sambuccol elderberry tablets and liquid Iv. My body is still sore and feel like it went through alot but I am glad to be feeling better.

I'm unvaccinated, 38, but have always taken Covid seriously. I wore my masks, stayed away from people in the grocery stores and stay at home mostly. After Christmas my son woke up with slight nausea and a low-grade fever. His lasted 3 days. Then my other two sons started with slight fever, mild tummy ache and my eldest still has a scratchy throat. I knew my turn was coming smh I woke up the other morning with a headache, mild body aches, and slight fever. Today I woke up with my throat feeling like it was on fire!! So, while the kids are all on their way to recovery, mommy is suffering a little lol. Ahh parenthood! I've mainly been taking 800mg Motrin, Vitamin C, D and Elderberry and sometimes Benadryl. Yall just pray for my pittie who just doesn't understand why mommy isn't cuddling with her anymore. To be honest, that's the worst of it, not being able to hug and kiss on my babies! 😭😭 Hope you're feeling better!

Tested positive yesterday but symptoms started the day before with a mild cough. Didn’t think much of it but the next day things got progressively worse and by 5pm I had the worst body aches I’ve ever experienced and a terrible headache. I take Tylenol every 8 hours and it helps a lot. I am also having trouble sleeping (can’t sleep long stretches) and was throwing up yesterday and all night but I’m also 9 weeks pregnant and throw up often because of that. I also experience the night sweats. I wake up dripping. Today is technically day three and I’m hoping for a speedy recovery.

Since the only way they can determine which Covid genomes are active they have to do a study in a lab with a highly trained person and extremely sophisticated equipment. Other than that, no one really knows which variant a person is testing positive for. The tests available through purchase, hospitals, clinics do not designate the different genomes. They would have you believe differently but this is the honest truth. Different symptoms are really the only way the average person can identify which variant they have. It sounds like you had the very first Covid identified.

I think alot of people are testing too early for how omicron reacts with tests. Even pcr. My family of 4 all got sick, my husband first, and he gave it to all of us. The adults, me and him, got a test and it was day 1 of full day symptoms for me but like day 5 of symptoms for him. I tested negative but he tested positive. If it was me alone I would have been under the impression I did not have covid. They're missing numbers here and giving wrong info by not asking how many full days of symptoms someone's had before the test. The numbers are waaaaay higher than being reported on percent of covid negative tests. Vaccinated btw, still got sick, all of us. The info about what days to test for this particular variant need to be relayed to the public more. Days 3 to 8 has the most viral load I later learned. I was too early. Many false negatives would be prevented. I would have thought I just had a cold but it was wrong wrong wrong. We all have all the omicron symptoms to a T and all got it from husband.

- June 2022 - My husband had what he thought was a mild cold with a cough. That went on for about 5 days. Nothing serious at all…typical head cold symptoms. Suddenly yesterday, completely out of the blue he went from being fine to a 102.3 fever with extreme chills. I’m telling you he was okay and 15 minutes later I found him in bed and buried under the comforter feeling cold but burning up. I gave him a test 4 days ago and it was negative. Yesterday he did another home test and it turned positive almost immediately. Last night he had night sweats and was throwing up. Today it’s 3:45pm. He woke up and took a shower this morning. He had some toast, drank some electrolytes and he’s been sleeping ever since. My 12 year old had Covid in early May 2022. She went to school with zero cold symptoms and 4 hours later the school nurse called me to say 103.8 fever. She tested negative at school but I tested her 4 days later with a 15 minute home test and the second positive line showed up within the first minute. Her sense of taste and smell went away after a week of fighting Covid at home. A lot of her symptoms were weakness, headache, exhaustion, dry cough, nausea, vomiting and diarrhea. She was feeling okay by day 10. I’m super nervous right now because my throat is sort of bothering me and a have a mild runny nose. I have two kids here at home (10 and 12) with no family nearby so I’m hoping I don’t suddenly come down with the fever that appears out of nowhere.

This is effecting everyone differently. I had one night of night sweats but no fever. Bad headache for days with some body aches. Occasional sneezing, same with the cough. I did find that my sense of smell is almost gone but didn't realize it until I held a jar of Vicks Vaporub up to my nose and really couldn't detect it. Amazingly, my eyes didn't water either when I did that. It started for me on Dec.20th and I'm still dealing with residual symptoms. Fully vaccinated and boosted.

Yep I agree .. I’ve got omicron now and my symptoms were - from earliest to latest … 1. Sneezing on the lead up to omicron then started to feel dizzy when walking. 2. Had a strange sensation in my left bottom nostril. 3. Had an off feeling in my stomach and my body was aching alllll over as if I had done a massive weights session 4. Felt low on energy and then breathing felt weird like as if warm air was passing through my lungs ….5. Fatigued extremely once it hit and was more obvious. 6. Started getting itchy throat and itchy ears, very sore coughing with mucus that would get stuck and hurt me more to bring it up and sore chest like bronchitis feeling 7. Woke up with a pain in my lungs or under rib cage and in my right ear drum, I had this weird hot burning sensation, almost like a heat wave went through my right ear…. 8. Hot and cold chills. 9. Frequent urination. 10. Temperature. 11. The Runs and then extreme chills and temperature.

Second night I slept a little better but still woke up quite a bit. Had some energy though to walk around. I thought I had a cold. Finally tested myself with one of the at home kits and it indicated that I was positive. I went to CVS for a same day test and it also said that I was positive. @@SSolis-pp9sn You might be asymptomatic... Ask for antibody blood test... OR,if your Doctor is willing to run ONE interesting experiment, have your stool, when you have fever vs when not, tested via the regular antigen PCR test...or home kit? And READ: Infection with the virus that causes COVID-19 can trigger an immune response that lasts well beyond the initial infection and recovery -- even among people who had mild symptoms or no symptoms at all, according to Cedars-Sinai investigators. The findings are published in the Journal of Translational Medicine. When people are infected with a virus or other pathogen, their bodies unleash proteins called antibodies that detect foreign substances and keep them from invading cells. In some cases, however, people produce autoantibodies that can attack the body's own organs and tissues over time. The Cedars-Sinai investigators found that people with prior infection with SARS-CoV-2, the virus that causes COVID-19, have a wide variety of autoantibodies up to six months after they have fully recovered. Prior to this study, researchers knew that severe cases of COVID-19 can stress the immune system so much that autoantibodies are produced. This study is the first to report not only the presence of elevated autoantibodies after mild or asymptomatic infection, but their persistence over time..." Day two it was fatigue all day, loss of appetite. Day three fatigue all day, loss of appetite. Day four which is today, I had bad migraines all day, then instantly after testing at home I began to feel that thing in the centre of the chest and I have to cough a little every now and then to release it.
