What are the effects of LSD on our brain ?
A recent study investigated the effects of psilocybin, the active ingredient in magic mushrooms and LSD on our brains. Ongoing research conducted by Professor David Nutt and his team demonstrated that these drugs can have long-lasting positive effects on the growth and connectivity between neural structures in our brains. The authors suggest these changes may underlie the rapid and sustained antidepressant effects of psychedelic drugs.
