For what its worth folks, ive had a lot of improvement by going low carb, supplementing D3 4000iu, A2000iu, E tocotrienols at 250mg, eating sardines (omega3) magnesium theronate 125mg and mag citrate 250mg and 3-5 mg of melatonin. Depression and anxiety much better. Anger down 50% and anger fuse is longer. Others have noticed the improvement. Hope that helps you.

Hi Eric, what was your original cause or signs of CTE signs that lead you to get it checked out.Also did you have Lack of desire to live, hopelessness,Lost,Etc,Etc?
@ericwarmath1091
@ericwarmath1091 3 жыл бұрын
@@macck4350 for me it was reading the story of Mike Webster, who had been a hero of mine. It described a lot of things I was living with: unpredictable anger, depression, pulling away from social interaction, gaps in time amd the recognition that all the head trauma I had taken over years actually might have had a cost. Learning that how I felt was not normal, was not just getting older or being a loner. I didn't care if I lived or died but mostly I just didn't care nor trust much of anything or anybody except my dog. I still have a lot of symptoms although less often. I can still go from zero to unexplainable anger in a new york minute under the wrong stress. But when I eat right and supplement right its a lot better. Its not fixed but I feel more like it has put me back to where I was 10 or 15 years ago physically and mentally. Its bought me some time. But eventually, who knows? But sharing the info might help somebody else get a little more time and its all I could do. Hopefully it helps you a little, some, a lot Mac. But give it a try for a few months and see if it helps your situation. It helps to have a dog too. They sense your mood, try to support you, give you unconditional love and something to focus on and a reason to go onward. I don't recommend puppies or elderly dogs as puppies van be stressful and a dog that will die soon and what that death would do to you is not worth thinking about. Stay strong and try it.

So important...I've been riding BMX for 30 years, several blackout concussions and hundreds of hard Street landings , its a super fun sport, BUT hidden consequences....e.g...Dave Mirra, Colin Winkleman ...RIP...when we land hard from height I believe it will cause the same brain damage, even if you don't blackout and feel OK in the short term. I suffer with depression, anxiety, rage fits and apathy... now I think I know why GF.

I grew up very rough, my parents always fighting, at a very young age, around 4 or 5, I started banging my head into the concrete floor, or walls, busting things on my heaf, to the point where tho happened every week for 10 yeas on, my only way to cope was bashing in my head on something hard, even hit a blood vessel in my forehead once that would not stop bleeding, I'm older now, stopped all that, but have the very early signs of cte, anger, depression, lack of control, or I'm just weird and I was never like thiz, it was a slow progression, but I know I used to bang my head alot, . I hate My life. It probaly didn't help I played youth tackle football all thoze year's

I think I might have cte writing this is hard for me to do and sounds crazy but I want someone to listen. I mean I had to re write this comment 4 times just to be coherent enough to understand. It’s getting harder and harder everyday just trying to remember the littlest things. Playing football and always leading with my head gave me some of the worst feelings ever. And my dad wanting me to play was giving me a sense of pride and him actually spending time with me just in car rides to practices was a good feeling instead of staying out in a garage because he never gave me attention. And now I’m showing symptoms they think it’s me stressing out about COVID and not seeing my friends as often. But I don’t know if it’s psychosis or me smoking heavy at when I was in 7th and 8th grade. I don’t feel anything anymore just a confused and angst. The worst part about it seeing the hopelessness in my mom and family about what’s going on to me. I feel so alone

Yes it can! Didn’t you watch the film concussion? Doesn’t matter if the hits are small, it’s the repetitive motion of the brain smacking itself that causes cte! As we head bang, or take violent hits to the head area, our brain jolts violently causing stress on the outer posterior part of the brain.

@B Real it doesn't really hurt when you get used to it. Have you never gotten your bell rung? It doesn't really hurt but it leaves you in a kinda daze that you just shake off. Using your head as a weapon was normal. If you have never played a contact sport or wrestled you wouldn't know, but if you control the opponents head you will control where their body goes as well. So when I would go to tackle (if not for the legs) I would aim the top of my head for the opponents face or chin. If you hit them good on that spot they would almost always go down. If you just started watching football in the last 7years then you would think what I am saying is so stupid(because it is). But if you look up old school football you will see that every collision is a control of heads. I am only 25, things change quickly

After 20+ years training and competing on a professional level of muay thai and I am now battling this disease and over tha last 5 years its progressed rapidly. I need help walking, eating, dressing, showering. I shit myself and won't know it. I've started having organ failure and have had 9 major surgeries. I cant even tell you how many rounds of pt and ot I've been through. It started hitting me in 2008, I started having constant tremors, seizures, mood swings , you know all the fun stuff. I've made it to 46! I accept that as a win! I will take any kind of win I can just to try and accept where I'm at and that I still have fight in me. I need 24 hour surveillance so we have video baby monitors in our house because a few years ago I started getting up in the middle of the night and wander off out side scaring the shit out of my wife. People ask me if I had to do it over again would I have not fought in a sport that primarily drills you in the head with fistes,, knees, feet, legs, elbows, etc. I always answer the same way, yes I would still do it all except I might pull the reings in on letting opponents hit me in the head with power shots simply because I've got a thick skull and it mess with my opponents head when they noticed I didn't react to that specific shot. Pqst that I would do it all the same. Doing what I did took to alot places and met a lot of amazing people had I not done it I wouldn't have had such an exciting journey. On that note, all of my fellow c.t.e sufferers as well as all of the care givers going through this. Take care of you, accept where you are at and live your life the best way you can and always take any little win you can because those wins help unbelievably when you need that extra push to fight this beast!

You kinda don’t know what’s happening in your head but all you feel is anxious and the urge to explode. The feeling equal to before you black out, this is why people who lose control go ape shit Bc you just want the pain in your head to go away. Sometime suicide is the result. You’re so used to bracing for hits (ex Oklahoma drill) Ik I pushed my mental state to the limit. Almost to the point where the only thing I had in my head was to run as hard as I can into the dudes even if it hurt him. So once your football life is over with, your mind feels like it’s lacking the rage outburst contact sports offer. You are unable to release your anger. Honestly football can make someone lose themselves. Pro level or not. Sucks you can’t really say shit about it tho. Everyone knows the risk but now everyone knows the side effects each risk has. I love football but it’s hurts more emotionally than physically in the long run.
