@@vanilla5643 I thought that her message was either before or shortly after she was put into the animatronic, therefore not yet giving her enough time to starve unless her stomach was already ruined. I just figured since Rosie was dismembered before being put in Sha, it'd make sense if Susan had things removed/cut down to size as well in order to fit into the Banny animatronic. Banny seems to have a pretty small waist, after all. I could be wrong tho

@@cet1r1z1ne possible but unlikely. Remember that the animatronics are quite large compared to a person and it seems that rosemary is a bit shorter than average. she would fit with minimal damage. That's likely why nobody could find her body, it was completely hidden in the SHA animatronic. Could be wrong but it's just speculation based on what we see and what is known in reality.

Interesting observation: Brian, Susan, Ashley and Rosemary seem to get killed right after they shine their flashlights at Bon, who reacted violently to the light. On the second tape, Sha told us not to use flashlights near robots, so this should be connected

This is something I've noticed but I've never seen anyone point out. Considering the end of tape three mixed with the scene of Sha covered in blood screaming, I feel like I can assume Jack is alive, like Rosemary, and has been forced to watch as he kills people with his own hands, and be unable to stop himself. I think the scene at the end of tape three is when he finally is back in control and is realizing what he did to his wife, right in front of his child as well.

Ashley's death really seemed to have awoken some sort of primal fear in me. The audio of the screaming was disturbing enough, until it got to the point where it described how her coworkers left, assuming she already had, without realizing she was being murdered in the same building at that same time. And while being murdered by a possessed animatronic rabbit is unlikely, the realization that Ashley's scenario happens very often with victims of human murderers, made me close and lock my window and draw the curtains closed in the middle of summer.

the thing about felix is that initially (we assume) he felt so horrible (as per GUILTY) and was a victim of his own circumstances and did not intend to kill edd & molly. Him being a pathetic loser rather than another malicious smart villain is so much more compelling and humanely believable, because hiding from his own mistakes and running away from accountability just is something that is more likely to happen with people than a homicidal thirst for blood. idk thats my opinion, and i really hope that felix is not a william afton 2.0

I know this comment is buried, but what if the 'sophie, where am I?' was directed after Rosemary resurrected as Sha the sheep? It would make the story smoother, and make more sense to their relationship imo. The proposed timeline is that Sophie discovers Rosemary's corpse in Sha Rosemary asks her daughter where she is Sophie presumably gets amnesia or a nervous breakdown The bunnyfarm tape is Rosemary trying to tell Sophie what happened that night and telling Sophie that she is in danger.

Also, remember that in the other bonus tapes they say that the victims try to actively seek help and vengeance via analog logs, this meaning that they "possess" the tapes and insert the creepy segments to tell Sophie and the audience that something is wrong and they want to be heard. In this case, all of the mortal victims (except Charles, who has changed things but hasn't manifested a lot so far) are expressing that they want people to know the victims and make Sophie remember the things that happened to her family and relatives. And Jack wants to make Felix responsible for what he's done.
@AlienPatch
@AlienPatch 3 жыл бұрын
I think it makes more sense than the idea that Sophie led her mother into Bon's trap. But beyond that, I think the image in Tape 1 of Sophie dressed as a technician might be a flashforward in the series, showing how she gets inside the bunker: she gets a technician uniform somehow and gets there thanks to the key the company provides.

7:38 it’s because of the angles of the necks. Heads don’t naturally turn like that when you are standing towards someone, take Jack for example. My theory is that in Felix's inebriated, shocked, and grief-stricken mind, he only hallucinated the bodies of Edd and Molly merging with the body of Rocket. He took this as some kind of sign and began his reprogramming project by stuffing people into the animatronics.

Martin took all of the best parts of FNAF and made a cohesive story that actually is even more unnerving and never loses its horror. This story is about how a cowardly alcoholic friend couldn't admit his worst mistake to his friend and instead chose to murder almost everyone involved. This is about a girl who lost her family and witnessed the death of her murder and can only cope by being drugged out of her mind. I really hope Sophie makes it out alive. I'm hoping the animatronics all these victims have been put inside are able to kill Felix. I hope Sophie's girlfriend isn't harmed. I'm definitely nervous for what's to come but I'm hoping the storyline stays consistent because I think it's excellent so far.

The uncanny feeling with the picture is from a couple things: 1. The face is looking directly at the camera while the body is sideways. It's normal to see someone face a camera like that, but the face is perfectly centered and looking at the camera, meaning the neck is bending in an abnormal way. 2. The facial expression of Jack are warped. Is face looks a bit too dark, his smile is too wide, his eyes too wonky. Putting those two things together makes an uncanny picture because it looks like a normal picture, but our brain is telling us that something is wrong, just slightly wrong, but wrong.

@Ryunsuke Art so, I actually disagree that the series is good in a sense. It's alright! But the artwork itself takes away from the suspense of the series due to the lack of skill. I'm not saying that person is bad at art, by far! It's just clear they're new to this kind of stuff and need to refine their style, their skill and anatomy, and so on. If it were done more in a live-action sense, while the art stayed for the game portions of the series, I think this would be much better. Also there's many cliches being played in the series, but honestly that's very normal in every genre so that's fine.

I personally think Sophie didn't call her mum backstage. I think it was whatever spirit was inhabiting the animatronic that killed her. It called out to her using the name Rosie, not Rosemary so it would imply familiarity. She didn't seem to recognise the voice but followed it. Sophie, who was working back there probably heard her mum and went towards her voice where she then said "Sophie, where am I?" and was then killed. Sophie saw the whole thing and was helpless to stop it. I believe that Sophie herself went onto the memory repressing pills as her dad went missing, her two siblings were killed tragically, and then her mum was killed in front of her all within a month, thus making her forget about the company etc. And if Brian was killed as they thought he was Sophie, there's a clear vendetta against the family, perhaps it's Felix, or perhaps it's Ed and Molly wanting their family back

I doubt the bodies inside the animatronics are actually possessing them with the intention to kill, otherwise they wouldn't mistake people such as with bryon from Sophie from Tape 1. It's really only one animatronic that's hostile too. I mean maybe Sophie younger sibling do have some vendetta and want their family to be with them but I have my doubts about that theory, I also now doubt Felix even lead Rose backstage to begin with. Rose seemed to not recognize the voice which is odd because she knows Felix. I don't think it's Sophie, nor Felix, but Chris rather. Chris is the odd one out to survive the events of Bons burgers, and would be a more perfect candidate to do Felix's dirty work, Felix is smart so he wouldn't do something that could get him potentially caught. Rose would not be able to recognize his voice either, it's not confirmed but I have good reason to believe Chris is the one in the Bon employee uniform wheeling the animatronics out in Tape 1, as well as being the one Bon employee hidden in Tape 3. (They're the same character, same uniform, skin color, hair)

I think that Felix is the one who lured Rosie to the back to be killed by Bon. I'm thinking that her asking "Sophie, where am I" isn't from immediately after. I think that it's either from the video so that Sophie keeps remembering or that maybe Rosie died while Sophie worked there, so Sophie went to the back to work on the animatronics and Rosie woke up inside of Sha to ask her where she is. Which honestly makes more sense for why Sophie would be given pills, hearing her dead or missing mother's voice coming from an animatronic and falling into hysteria would be grounds for some serious medication. Whether for Schizophrenia or extreme PTSD

They could give a side effect of apathy or general disconnection if they're that strong to wipe out her childhood and teenage memories. But I personally think it's just more of an effect of the extreme trauma she went through. Trauma can do so much shit to your brain. something interesting that i don’t think anyone’s pointed out yet is the fact that when someone is killed and “made beautiful” (ie one of the animatronics) their picture is distorted and stretched. the same thing happens to felix’s picture in “guilty” - but only after he kills edd and molly. not sure exactly what this means within the context of the story but it’s an interesting detail nonetheless.

Every Bon kill we see involves a flashlight or light source in general. Brian: flashed his light on Bon BEFORE the attack Ashley: Switched her light on before Bon actually attacked Rosemary: Led into a dark room, we see Sophie holding a light before the attack begins Susan: We can't see it directly, but a safe assumption she was using a directed light source to work on Bon At the end, in the line-up of animatronics, Bon is shrouded in darkness, not like the rest. When a light is present, he is glitching out. Sha's tape specifically advises to NOT shine lights in the animatronics eyes. Something is definitely going on here. I don't think Jack is in Bon, if he is possessed it's by Edd and Molly, Jack did something to Bon, I'd assume to try to kill Felix.

Y'know something I feel like a lot of people don't consider when watching this series (and I think I've posted this somewhere before) is that this entire series takes place early in the actual timeline. Like, all these tapes have been recorded and found in the *present day* while whoever writes the descriptions is "finding these tapes." With that put to light, it makes you realize that this entire series is already "set in stone," in a sense. Everything's already happened, and it results in us less discovering the events as they happen, and more so us discovering an already laid out crime with a possibly bloody conclusion. Considering more episodes are planned beyond the 1st season, it feels like we're essentially being shown one "half" of the story itself. I don't know, just some food for thought that eats at me when it comes to the Walten Files. Good video!

If she were to admit fault he could have been let off the hook for the initial deaths of the red ginger kids allowing Sophie to accept blame in it's entirety. @@cookiesandcream4346 My theory is Felix did in fact kill Jack, and stuffed him into Bon to hide the body, explaining why Susan said Bon seemed off and had stiff movements. Jack could've possesed Bon, but didn't want to be alone or something along the lines, so when Susan came to fix Bon, Jack "fixed" her, turning her into Banny, just like Felix did to him. Maybe he felt better, or good, or "beautiful" or something, and wanted others to feel the same, more specifically people he knew, or people he loves, hence him killing Rosie, and stuffing her into Sha. Sophie could've stumbled in and seen what happened, causing trauma that leads to her taking the pills. It would explain why Bon killed Brian. He mistook Brian for Sophie, the last of the Waltens, the witness that got away. Felix could've also done the deed, stuffed Jack in Bon, and programmed Bon to kill the rest of his family, or loved ones to hide his tracks, maybe brainwashing him into thinking that by doing so, he'd make them beautiful.

A more well-executed and non-oversaturated FNAF, to oversimplify it. I appreciate it for going more on the side of dread rather than the modern entertainment definition of scary (i.e. get ready to jump). More terror than horror, in an archaic sense. It's a much more potent feeling, and so far, the indie side of film projects here on KZbin has been doing it really damn well, namely with analog horror. Analog has become one of my favorite ways of getting spooked.

THIS IS NON OVERSATURATED???? These videos can't go 30 seconds without a scary face popping up or a loud noise. These videos probably have more jusmpscares per minute than fnaf 3. The only video that doesn't try to scare you constantly is the bonus one. The whole tone of the videos barely tries to establish tension. Overconcentrated horror is bad horror. Fnaf has it's own lows in it's horror aspects and - many people don't find these games scary. But at least it actually knows when to stay silent and let the players assume they're safe. It knows when the string needs to be pulled and when to turn the "jumpscare" knob down. And same with story drive. Watson files are narratively linear experience. You see the thing and moments later the thing is explained. Why? Because next thing needs to be shown and explained. How did it happen? Because the series are oversaturated. Too many events, characters and loud noises cramped into relatively short experience. There needs to be downtime. There needs to be tension. Otherwise the videos become an assault of information. Fnaf got 6 main game entries and 3 books and we still are not sure who is killed and who is where. Again, it's not perfect either, but it's carefully crafted enough to give players just enough information to get them in but not enough to be conclusive. And that's exactly why it got so many people interested in it. Here, honestly, I don't know why people need Watson files to be explained. Unless you're not paying attention the main story of Felix causing death of Watson's children and then killing Watson senior is alarmingly clear. I guess to see what neat details you might have missed. Again, problem of putting too much information into too short of experience. Needed tension. Needed downtime. Needed brakes, ironically enough.
@ChaplainIdaeus

@@icevlad148 By "non-oversaturated," I meant the brand itself, not in the approach each individual video takes to scare the viewer. FNaF went on for a very long time and it's probably _still_ going. If it is, I'm honestly not sure where its story is going or even where it's at currently. Granted, I dropped off a while ago, so maybe it's better than I give it credit for story-wise. But it does seem like it's dragging its name along at this point. That said, I do prefer the Walten Files' approach to this sort of horror over FNaF and believe it to be more well-executed in this analog format than in FNaF's 3D model stationary style, or whatever you might call it. Barring in mind that there is a difference in approach between a video and a video _game._ For the most part, you more or less get to decide the pace of scares in FNaF by managing your camerawork and other resources. Can't really do that with a video that has a fixed runtime unless you pause often, but of course that's not the same. So in regards to the pacing, I'm not sure I follow you. It seems to me that within the variable runtimes of the Walten videos, the tense downtime between visual and auditory scares is _fairly_ balanced. Not perfect, and certainly not among the best I've seen, but good overall. I never got the feeling like I was being overloaded with information, horrific or otherwise. I also like the more visually surreal vibe the Walten Files has over FNaF. I find it to be more stimulating. I dare say that seems to be more of the focus than the story itself, but that's just my observation. The actual story of the Walten Files is, as you describe, a narratively linear experience. I think it's safe to say that this is a true statement. I would also agree that it's predictable; it's a fairly simple story so far. I wouldn't say it's that much simpler or more complex than FNaF pre-FNaF 3(?). Well, ok, maybe simpler since we already know who the "purple guy" equivalent of the Walten Files is, but it does seem to be designed as a shorter experience. Either that or the mystery is not entirely about the perpetrator of the accident. It's still relatively new, so we've no clue where it'll end up going, if it _does_ continue on at all after another video or two. I don't presume to know a huge amount about FNaF and so I can't speak about it in great detail, but from what part of it I've experienced and have seen grow overtime, I just think TWF handles the same animatronic horror better. At least on an aesthetic level, story aside.

This series was the first thing that made me realise my absolute biggest weakness in the analogue horror genre; faces. Warped and distorted faces just tap into some _primal_ nook in my ape brain that makes it legitimately difficult for me to be calm and fall asleep at night after seeing them. The one that got me the most was Charles' messed-up face at the end of Boozoo's little segment in BunnyFarm (the one at 1:08:35). That face has shown up _numerous_ times in my nightmares and sometimes I see it when I close my eyes. It's just stuck with me ever since I saw it. Excellent analysis, Nexpo! I can always count on you to make these scary things more bearable

The idea that this takes place in a universe that nothing went wrong at Freddy's is what fascinates me the most. Also, the way they say the place is closed "for good" is cool because Bon is named after the French word for good. They closed it for Bon or whoever was within the bot

It would make more sense if bon, jack is (presumably) inside of, was mimicking sophie (his daughter's) voice to show rosemary where he was before killing her, he called her rosie because that was the nickname he used for her in life. With the text from the red children, this can imply jack, molly, and ed are rounding their family together in death so they can be all together again.

Probably wasn't even mimicking Sophie's voice but was just asking where Sophie was.
