The 405?!? Childs play! If you're talking about roads in the continental United States, I-285 around Atlanta beats it hands down. Then again, pretty much ANY highway on the Eastern Seaboard, especially if it's in a city would laugh at both 285 AND 405 when it comes to hazardous driving.

Never heard the A537 in England called the Widowmaker before. In Yorkshire we call it the Cat and Fiddle after the pub at the top.

Ah US1 through the keys. I made that drive about once a week for like 6 months. It’s definitely one of the most scenic in Florida, but it’s Florida after all. You never know what can happen lol

I-465 especially on the East Side around 5pm Central Monday thru Friday. Saw a LOT of wrecks there when I used to drive. Especially The 465-69 interchange.

I've been on The Circle more times than I can even try to count and at all hours of day and night. Yes, it's a P.I.T.A. with the never ending "destruction" but I don't consider it a "dangerous" highway.

If you were buying a new truck for long haul service, what truck would you buy?

At the moment if you’re just getting into the industry we would go with a decent, used Cascadia. Cheaper to work on, great MPG, lots of features other trucks don’t have. Once you’ve got your legs under you, look for a good used Cat powered Pete or KW.
@Retired88M

I’ve driven Petes and KW’s and International s and Whites and Brockways and Freightliner s and Mack’s and for ride quality the 72 inch pro sleeper from International seemed to ride the best, anything powered with a series 60 Detroit got the best mileage and the older Mack’s were the most reliable; I’m talking about any that used the R-Model cab but if you’re looking for one to show off I’d get a W 900 L with all the chrome and stainless and polished aluminum and I don’t know if KW uses a different grade aluminum for their fuel tanks than Peterbilt but they seem to hand Polish easier and more brilliant.But only Mack’s with Mack power

How in the hell can that highway 24 from Ft Wayne to Toledo be deadly??? Its a straight shot on level land thru a bunch of damn corn fields. Also I've driven 129 in TN/NC, obviously don't drive a semi up that road, but its only as dangerous as you make it. Bunch of adrenaline junkies(including me lol) drive way too fast, just don't go off or you're completely buggered.

U.S. 24 from Toledo to Ft. Wayne definitely used to be a dangerous stretch. Years ago, it wasn't nearly as wide and did have some bad curves. The biggest problem though was/is that it runs through mostly rural areas. There were many fatal crashes due to drivers on side roads failing to yield to highway traffic. Last time I ran 24 from Glass City to The Fort, it was being rebuilt to 4 lanes with on/off ramps instead of intersections with stop signs. I haven't been across it in quite a while so I don't know if it's finished or not. U.S. 24, and many other 2 lane highways of the old Federal Highway System have definitely earned their "Blood Alley" nicknames over the years.
