Hi ..am impressed by the built and design of the captains.. just a question ..for the captains ..are the captoes hard like as though it has steel toe feel or just stitching and soft captoes? Like adidas superstars i need a half size up bcoz of the hard cap toes which is uncomfortable... thanks

Thank you! The cap toe is not hard like a steel toe boot, but the toe box is reinforced to help the toe keep it's shape through the years. I would get a half size down from your athletic sneakers : )

Do the vanguards in the grizzly wheat color with the vibram soles have the corkbed midsole? On that model it doesn’t say anything about it having cork?

I plan on getting the captain in black,my shoe size is about 45(12 in us)what size should I order them in,in order for them to fit nicely once they break in?and also do you ship to Europe?

Hey Franklin! I think you are going to be happiest with a size 11 in our boots. We do ship to Europe but currently are shipping internationally from the states and the shipping companies charge a lot for those international deliveries. With that being said, we found a great partner with warehouses in the UK and Germany. It takes some time to set up our distribution and standards with them, but we're on track to be offering free shipping in the EU by September 1st. Will probably save ~$50 if you're willing hold out 2 months. Not sure how price sensitive you are, but wanted to let you know in case it's worth it for you to wait : )

Thursday Boot Company It will definitely be worth the wait because I do value 50€ and this is the first kind of boot I'm ordering so the pricing is a little bit bigger than my average sneaker,that being said,thank you for providing in-depth details about it,you seem to care a lot about customers and I like that!

Does Thursday Boot have boots made of vegan materials?

Our first fully vegan boot comes out this September! We go through a lot of hurdles to make sure we get our leather from high quality providers that share our values on producing leather goods with integrity. As a vegetarian myself, I feel good about the leather we use. We don't use calf skin and we have been working with tanneries to get hides from US and British farms that are audited for their treatment of the animals. For fully mature cattle, the leather is a by-product of the meat industry. While I know people have differing opinions on this topic, which I respect, my opinion is that the alternative of using leather from fully grown cows is to waste it. High quality leather boots last a long time and there is something to be said about that. We are also planning to publish web pages for leather sourcing info if of interest...been moving slow on it and focusing on product, but we want people to know how/why we do things and are always open to feedback!

Had the brown captains for three days and they got a cut in the front of the boot on the leather like someone took a razor to it. And my job isn't that strenuous.
