Boop Boop i remember once one of my Pokémon had Pokerus (I think it was sun and moon? i don’t remember) and it freaked me out so I looked it up and people said it was harmless, but me being a big baby, I had to figure out who on my team had Pokerus and boot them from the team. Well it only cost about $5.50 for a full team of 6 perfect Iv, pre made EV level 100 shiny team on ebay so you really arent asking much at all. The game allows cheating and has so much hacked pokemon its just nauseating. While training my team in Shield, I randomly found a shiny Growlithe and captured it, not realizing it was actually an Ultra Shiny, until my friend told me all about it! Oh my god. I just found out about this and my shiny spiritomb which i spent about 12 hours farming for is ultra shiny. Lol i didnt know chaining increased the chances, but my encounter count for spiritomb is 6 so i got it on the rarest chance

Checking today some of my older shinies I noticed that all of my overworld shiny encounters I caught during my SwSh playthrough (totally random, no chaining) are ultra shiny. All 5 of them. The 3 shinies I've found in my own dens (no online raids, no hosting) are ultra shiny too. And shinies from Pokemon Go brought to SwSh are also animated as ultras while a Heracross from Arceus is star animated.

If you got the pokemon in the wild and it has the square shiny animation thats a regular shiny, an "ultra rare" shiny in the wild will have stars, it's backwards for wild encounters for some reason.

HOLY $#%+!!!! I just got my first shiny in the game, a corviknight, almost immediately after I noticed this video. After watching I checked it’s shiny animation, and lo and behold It’s an ultra shiny!!!!! What’s funny about it all is that I was actually looking for a dreepy for the past 4 hours in the same area, and apparently my chances of getting an ULTRA SHINY are better than getting an actual dreepy🤣

If youre breeding its a 1/16 chance to be square shiny if youre chaining in the wild its a 15/16 chance to be shiny (chains dont break in this game btw unless fishing cuz then the system is completely diffetent) so most ppl are encountering their first in the wild!

The beams of light are also a different color (blue) for the ultra shiny. Also, I personally think that while it's relatively simple to get an ultra shiny from a wild encounter, with a 15/16 chance, that is easier said than done for some Pokémon. The ultra shiny also has an objectively more striking animation.
