OMG, just 30 seconds ago I was watching a much-beloved journal maker and thinking how she never did anything really different with her stuff and along you come with a new way to make collages that is so beautiful. Not using collages and gel prints only as backgrounds but to make something that's real-ish out of little bits, something that is stunningly beautiful on its own. Your thining-outside-the-box attitude is refreshing!

I love that, in addition to showing how you build your gorgeous works of art, you also broaden our awareness of techniques and tools with which we may have limited knowledge and experience. I have Tacky When Dry and the Deco Art gilding sheets that I’ve barely touched and Triple Thick Glaze I’ve used only once. They’re just sitting on my shelf, and you’ve inspired me to make good use of them and enjoy them. Thank you so much!❤

Love this! Question...will you "varnish" or clear coat he whole piece after? or just leave as is? I guess I'm wondering if you need to clearcoat the whole piece after. Beautiful work.
@ElizabethStHilaire
@ElizabethStHilaire Жыл бұрын
I will not varnish or clearcoat it, because that would defeat the purpose of the shiny finish in just one place. It does not need to be coated, I have used professional Golden acrylic paints, which have very high, UV resistance! :)

How do you clean off your stencils? Just water or with some product?
@ElizabethStHilaire
@ElizabethStHilaire Жыл бұрын
I don’t clean them. The intricate ones are too fragile to scrub and nothing really breaks down acrylic paint. The Dorothy ones are less fragile and could be scrubbed, but I don’t bother, I just let it build up.

How did you apply the adhisive only on the round circles? If i do that all over with a brush afterwords it will glue the foil even underneath these circles ..am i wrong ?
