Yes exactly great video man for ppl to know this stuff. When i was young trained many yrs in muay thai and not a single coach...explained strategy to me. Heaps of pads, heaps of drills, heaps of conditioning, lots of kick technique, very little footwork, no punch technique, no fight iq or strategy, no liver shots, no high low, no setup shots, no power shots. I would headhunt and power kick was a big dude and pretty strong so I did good but of course did decent against average figgters but good fighters picked me apart. Started to learn strategy from an amateur boxer i knew, and absolutely loved it, then went and studied strategy myself. Had surgeries and big lay off now in my 40s and getting in best diet/condition of my life might do some masters suff recently started training hard again. I look for counter openings, high low, left right, set up shots to create openings, defensive and offensive footwork, in attack, out attack, counter in, counter out, feints fakes, in out, little angle adjustments, big angle adjustments, patience learn their offence defence. Man i love it its literally endless what you can learn. I do tonnes of film (theres a 90s word shows my age)

I'm glad this is the wisdom that was made accessible to us. I appreciate you coach. This definitely helps because I'm a big guy, and a beginner that's paranoid about exerting too much vs sparring partners that see the slower power in the punches and take advantage of a dwindling gas tank to sink shots that leave me hurt

Thanks. I was watching bare knuckle last night thinking the same thing. I'm thinking attack the biceps. Sneak one to the thigh. Only thing I'd add is work angles. There's too much straight line back and forth... You a dangerous man! Master Ahn in Cincinnati hit me in my solar plexus, pulled the punch - it didn't hurt, felt like a slap and the feeling lingered for 3 or 4 days.

Martial Artist train to Fight street fighters and Boxers train to fight boxers . Boxers need to train to Fight, street fighters . That's where Pro-boxer Carl, comes in at. Boxing in the streets teaches , footwork. Everybody that trains in boxing ain't going Pro boxing. So those boxers need AGAINST street fighter techniques. Pro-boxer Carl, got to start a Boxing gym Fitness gym , side martial arts classes, inside a Apartment basement and make Alot cash dollars that way, keep a small crowd and train a few top boxers for the sport of boxing. When you fight against street fighters as a boxer , street fighters have different styles for that strong 30 seconds of street fighting, you dont have time for 3mins to boxing Box in a Street fight.

What a fantastic breakdown. I've been training since 2010 in boxing, wrestling, sanda & Muay Thai mixed with some street fighting tactics. I'll never be pro but one thing I can say street fighting and self defense wise it does work beautifully. Especially if you throw in firearms, batons, slapjacks etc... Honestly there should be a school like you mentioned geared towards true self defense.
@theSimpsons-sd5ro22 күн бұрын
@thesuperheru1 once you learned 6 months of Offense in boxing and 6 months of Defense in boxing No weekends off, that's a Pro-boxer. After about 5 Amateur fights , your a Pro-boxer on paper , it's just LEVELS of Pro-boxing, which highly depends on Your coach style . Pro-boxer Carl, is teaching a well-trained Small form, of Chicago Illinois military martial arts Dancing Boxing, held by Muslim Pro-boxing coach sensei Anthony Ivory. Pro-boxer champion Shawn Simpson does this Chicago Illinois military martial arts Boxing, style at its highest form.

Thank you for the knowledge. I'm not a boxer or a fighter, but in self defense that jab to the head followed by that strike to the solar plexus has been a good defense for me. It's for those like me who are not looking for a fight and just want to get on with their day.

Boxing should help you learn from your opponent just like street fighting … if you practice more often like your DEFENSE & you’ll be more prepare on any move at anytime. Some people don’t know strategy so dats y they never come out on top because they don’t know how to move around instead they stand straight & punch around dat will eventually tired themselves out & dats how they get knocc out or TKO 🤷🏽♂️

Learn all u can before u jump in the ring or it’ll be like jumping in the ocean trying to learn how to swim. Train hard, listen and learn, start slow BUT start today. Boxing is something that can be learned, but it requires time training. #patience #discipline #consistency Let’s go!
