What other eye-related topics would you like me to talk about?

I understood this so much better than how my optometrist explained. But, they probably don’t have time to explain all this when they have tons of appointments after yours.

I'm glad to hear the video made sense! And good for your son! If you get the surgery I hope you'll also be back to reading in no time 😁

@@Vision-Vibes thank you, and me too! I heard at my age (34 years young) the surgery is cosmetic and my insurance wouldn’t pay for it. Not sure how much of that is true though. It does make me run into stuff sometimes and I have to strain while driving so my eye doesn’t wander off. I’m constantly with migraines 😔

Its always recommended to get a full eye exam if you think you have astigmatism or if there are any changes to your vision. The symptoms of astigmatism can resemble symptoms of other conditions. I was diagnosed with it 30 years ago, but within the last 5 years I have seen some worsening of symptoms. It turned out that a cataract was growing in one eye and it had to be removed.

Definitely! While I hope that this introductory info is helpful, please go talk to your eye doctor if you start noticing any symptoms. I hope your eye is doing well post-cataract surgery!

this video is very helpful!! i make glasses for my job and have astigmatism myself and i still learned a lot from this because i never really learned the why of how it works, just how to make them. this is both helpful for my own curiosity and also for explaining it better to customers

Awesome! That's my main goal with this channel 😀 to be an eyecare professional's go-to source of videos to explain these things to their customers

I thought for the longest time that it was “a stigmatism.” I didn’t believe it at first when someone corrected me. Also, im so happy you gave an explanation for what causes the streaks of light. I’ve always wondered what optically causes them. I don’t see them often(probably not from an astigmatism), so they’ve always stood out to me.

A lot of people actually think that it's "a stigmatism"! I'll probably make another video doing a deeper dive into the streaks of light. Astigmatism is definitely one thing that contributes to them, but if it was the only cause all of the streaks would go in the same direction as your asigmatism (and sometimes you can see them going in different directions)

I really liked this video! I saw in the video a simulation of how astigmatism works and it made me curious about how I could show others how I see the world. Some try and put my glasses on, however I tell them it's highly innacurate and probaly not even good for their eyes. How can I show others how I percieve the world? Thanks for the informative video!

You're welcome! There are some free online astigmatism simulators you could check out! If you find one that accurately stimulates what you see, please let me know 😁

I'm really interested if myopia reversal really works, could you do one on that And if not atleast one on wearing distance vision glasses for close vision gor long time
@Vision-Vibes2 ай бұрын
Myopia reversal through eye exercises doesn't really have scientific evidence that backs it up. Laser eye surgery can correct for myopia for a lot of candidates though! I think it'd be worth making a video about this diving into it more 😁
