It has been said that Princess Marina left no key items of jewelry to her daughter, Alexandra, because she believed it was up to the husband in a couple to provide for the wife ('though she seems to have blithely ignored this dictum herself). I wonder, however, why most of Princess Marina's jewelry appears to have been passed on to her younger son, Prince Michael (and hence to his wife Princess Michael), rather than being divided more equitably between Michael and the current Duke of Kent and his wife? Remember that these bequests were made long before the present Duke and Duchess separated, so I find it rather puzzling.

The Duke is not separated from the Duchess. She simply retired from public life in 2002 and chooses which events she will attend.

The Kent branch got great jewels! Prince Michael of Kent got lots and looks like has kept it well. Too bad the Duke of Kent needed to sell his jewel inheritance.

Well..The royal sold the jewelry and Kim happened to be very rich. She also has Princess Diana's necklace. They should make some kind of law that no royal jewelry can be sell to anyone.

Prince George and Princess Marina were the most glamorous couple. And I have always adore Princess Michael. She a classy lady. And those Chandelier earrings are fabulous.

Princess Michael is a racist prig. She's told people to "back to the colonies", that Britons should be concerned about the bloodlines of their children, and wore a blackamoor broach with the stylized figure of an African man to the Duchess of Sussex first Christmas banquet with the Royal Family. What do you mean? The Duke of Kent served Queen Elizabeth for over 70 years, and now King Charles, albeit in a reduced capacity. The Duchess also served the late Queen for until she retired from public life in 2002, for personal reasons. If that's not dedication, I don't know what is.

And they did so for the best part of the past decades when the duchess retired from any royal duties, after their separation she took up a teaching job while living in a modest flat. On the other hand, the duke introduced to everyone, including his children, his new girlfriend as his new future wife who lived with him. Unfortunately, when this plan went south the bride-to-be ran to the mountains as fast as she could! But to all our Duke's fans she would always be the new wife with her antics. 😊

Loved the video thankyou, it's sad that the Royal Ladies of today don't wear these beautiful jewels but prefer to look ordinary just like us,losing interest in the Royals after a lifetime of looking up to them. They no longer wear hats, gloves, tiaras, furs, etc.Queen Camilla is constantly harangued ( no respect from people) William & Catherine are our next King & Queen but don't act Royal at all,Harry & Megan are constantly trying to cause trouble, Eugenia & Beatrice have bowed out, Edward & Sophie do what they can.Wake up Royal Family before its to late & you all become commoners.

Do you expect the royal ladies to wear tiaras and furs when visiting charities? When did royal ladies do that in Queen Elizabeth's time? They wear the finery when it's required, as in attending royal banquets, and weddings and such events. They were asked not to wear tiaras at the coronation.
