Hey Lennies!! we did have to re-upload this video and make some corrections, so thank you for being patient!! Please bear in mind that most bunnies in today's age are somewhat mixed, and so some of our commentary might not be 100% accurate because it can be so hard to tell without proper DNA testing! We welcome all *KIND* corrections. What breed(s) are YOUR rabbits? Comment below!

My rabbit adopted ME. Someone dropped him off in my neighborhood, and after a few weeks I was able to hand feed and pet him. As soon as it started to get chilly I knew he was going to have to come in. That was 2 years ago, and we bonded. I love this guy, and as disgusting as it is he was cruelly dumped, I'm glad he found me.

Every time the weather it storms or gets cold I think about how great it is that he's happy, safe and warm!

I rescued 4 rabbits yesterday from an auction and the setup was heartbreaking there was chicks put in coke bottles and cans and the way some of the people was handling the bunnies was unreal I was giving them some of your advice and now most of the people know how to handle them what to feed them and even how to care for them I really appreciate your videos I love you so much ❤️❤️
@heathersherwood1685 жыл бұрын
Jasminesanimalzoo123 456 I wouldn’t recommend rescuing from auctions but so awesome for you want to rescue. I would rescue from a shelter or a rescue center.
@tjs6535 жыл бұрын
Good for you! I believe any rescue is a good rescue, especially if the animal is in bad conditions like you found yours. Rescue organizations are really great, and good places to adopt from, but the animals they have are now safe and cared for (except maybe at a city shelter). You saved babies that from what you described didn't have a chance. I think you totally did the right thing. Good luck with them!.xxx I'm still trying to figure out why chicks were in soda bottles though. That fresks me out.
@Widdekuu914 жыл бұрын
I wouldn't recommend rescueing those animals. No matter how heartbreaking it is, that way you keep the cycle alive. Not to mention, "damaged/troubled" bunnies are not damaged/troubled humans. Don't treat them the same. If you have all the resources and money, you can get abused rabbits and care for them, but preferably leave those and pick a nice, wellbehaved and friendly, calm bunny from a better place. The abusers just got your money and they'll try and sell some more, later on. I know the reflex of 'rescue!' is hard to ignore, but it's better to let 4 die and have the owners realise it's not a proper way to deal with them, than to pay people for their 'trash' (as *they* see it) and thereby encourage them to make/sell more of them. Stop the cycle. Don't buy any abused animals, unless the shelter has cared for them. The shelter can get your money, the abusive breeders may not.
@Widdekuu914 жыл бұрын
@@tjs653 The thing is though, the breeders now know that there's money in selling bunnies in auctions. They will breed with their other bunnies and try again in a few weeks. You keep the cycle alive that way, they got the money. If you get it from a shelter, you pay the shelter, not the abusive owners.
@Goldi-Luc2 жыл бұрын
yeah that 100% makes people like that keep breeding. they may even present them in bad condition to get people to buy them out of pity. whatever the case no one should be adopting animals on a whim. rabbits take much more work than people realize, thats why so many get given away and cruelly set free.

I think he said he was breeding them for labs or something. I've seen vids of the giant ones and thought how amazing that would be to have running around the house. When I scooped my current boy up from the street, it was quite obvious he was a boy. He was matted with urine so as we were cleaning, well, yeah. The vet said he's probably between 2 and 5 years, so at 4 ish pounds I guess a Holland Lop? He's brown with a white puff under tail, like a wild rabbit, which I think is kinda cool.

The giant breeds are by far the calmest and most easy going, once they get past the "teen years" (about 5months to about 1year 6 months or less--doesn't last long. The Flemish Giants can be huge rabbits, sometimes actually weighing around 28 lbs., thought 21 lbs. or so is more common. However, given enough room, they make amazing pets. They are intelligent and loving, and most will calmly lay next to you in bed or on the couch and give kisses.

@DrDeliciou6 жыл бұрын
Lol well I did notice a few things different... but you always show great editing skills. I did notice the popups with various info in places and noticed that the part with the bunny that was first identified as an English Spot was changed. I believe it may have had an English Spot relative at one time but probably was mixed with many others as well. Real English Spots are much leaner with a lot of distinct markings. kzbin.info/www/bejne/o4nFlpJ4gpWmo8U That is a good video to show off what English Spots look like You will notice they are very lean energetic buns with distinct markings. I believe Roger is a bit of a mutt.

I generally love her videos and the info she puts out, but I'll admit that in several instances including the one you speak of both women seemed to be handling some of the bunnies rather carelessly. Pulling fur vigorously, heavy handed patting and using the one bunny as an arm rest. It makes me wonder how long the poor bunny was pinned it almost has a look of fear considering it laid there lifeless while the being filmed.
