I add well cooked lentils to my oatmeal for part of my protein. 2 oz lentils to 1 ounce dry oatmeal is about the right proportion for me. I am dairy sensitive so I also make soy milk yogurt which is delicious. Get vegan yogurt starter and organic unsweetened soy milk (west soy from Walmart or pearl from Winco). After you have made it once, you can use some of that yogurt to make the next batch.

I LOVE the idea of storing in those small containers - especially IF I am travelling on the road (Van Explorer) Darn, I could almost eat Breakfast for Lunch too!! Tho' I eat an Ezekial Toast w/Avocado (weighed, of course)

I am really happy to get back into the BLE Groove - I got sidetracked while selling a house that was Weighing me down with issues. By the way - Anyone in Western North Carolina - I live near FLAT ROCK, NC - would love to start a local group 🙂 of support? No pun intended, but when Life is not on a steady track, everything seems to go in too many directions too. So...after a couple of stops and go's, I'm working on making BLE a Daily Habit. Awesome vlog SPT. Question: is it safe to switch grains for breakfast like I get bored eating oatmeal or eggs. Can I do brown rice, quinoa instead? I'm still on the weight loss plan.

The Gideon Games are an official competition within our Bright Lifers community (this comes after Boot Camp). Teams of 10 support one another through a 90-day competition with other teams to have the most bright days. ☀️

The Gideon Games are a 90-day "competition" where Bright Liners work in teams of 10 to support one another and track their Bright days. Each week, scores are calculated and posted. At the conclusion of the 90 days, team winners are declared. Anyone with a perfect score and the winning team participate in a celebration call together. It's a lot of fun! 🧡

So you’re not just giving up flour and sugar. It seems like you’re giving up fat, caffeine, dairy and who knows what else.

Hi Katy! The four Bright Lines in Bright Line Eating are sugar, flour, quantities, and meals. We do not eat sugar or flour of any kind. We only eat meals, no snacks. And we weigh or measure what we eat in bounded quantities. To answer your specific questions: We do not give up fat in BLE. A fat portion is part of lunch and dinner on the weight loss food plan and can include any number of choices such as avocado, olive oil, olives, nuts, seeds, nut butter, etc. Caffeine is ok. You can include it or not, it's your choice. Some Bright Liners drink coffee and tea. Others choose not to. We are animal-protein neutral. Our community includes omnivores, vegetarians, vegans, WFPB, and everything in between. You can eat dairy, meat, cheese, yogurt, and eggs, or you can forego them and choose lentils, beans, seeds, tofu, tempeh, and nut butters. All are welcome and we are united in supporting each other to simply keep our four Bright Lines.🧡
