I can't believe I have to add this but, this isn't racism against white people, that's not the underlying principle at play. Sellers in open markets around the world will charge based on how wealthy they think you are and how familiar with the environment they think you are. And then give the money to Africa but then its in the interest of some private company? It doesn't matter we the tax payer gets screwed anyways, if 2hst you say is right and I have heard somethings similar to this before and there is probably some truth in it. It's just benefiting some companies and neither nation. In Ireland we have Trocaire which is government funded and it gets hundreds of millions a year. It gives food and shelter etc to Africans. And also is very active in bringing them here, and have been seen walking hand in hand with literal communists and leftists who were supporting the government to get rid or limit speech.

@@manufacturedconsent7850 well I think thats fine. The white tourist has so more much money and who cares about 1$ for a handmade bracelet? @justayoutuber2573

Manufactured Consent market people only charge foreigners more because they can get away with it. It's not about respecting their fellow countrymen, it's about knowing that locals are aware of how much things cost and won't be willing to pay a higher amount. Go to most markets in the world, if you look or sound unlike a local, expect to be charged more. Even shops with fixed prices have overpriced keychains, postcards, etc targeted at tourists, who are willing to pay extra. Most people do understand this when they go abroad.

This happena to even Nigeria. So, the trick is whatever price you are told slash it into 2 and starthe pricing, it they don't accept the price walk out and you would be called back. But if you aren't go to the next shop and do the same, you would be given a certain price by both shops choose which is favourable for you. That's what I was taught and it worked for me the few times I did it in Nigeria

I highly doubt nigeria is in the top 50 of most attractive countries. Its a shithole. Saying nigeria is one of the most attractive countries does a big disservice to all the other attractive countries such as USA/Thailand/Russia/switzerland/Egypt, Japan, etc, list is endless. No tourist in his life would place nigeria and attractive in the same sentence The only semi good thing about it is that it is cheap. But then again, if you want cheap prices then there are dozens of much better options such as Ukraine/Belarus/Thailand/Phillipines/etc

They Are actually very very similar🇳🇬.🇮🇳 Both countries are culturally rich. Both are widely diverse in Tribes men, culture and religion. Both are known for their dense population of same race identity(Indians are middle eastern and Nigerians are black- west African black people to be specific) sadely Both suffer from language/culture/religion discrimination among fellow citizens, also immense economic inequality, Digital divide and corruption. The Market and transport living are also very similar. Also local manufacturing buisness too. In short Nigeria 🇳🇬 is like the India of Africa and India 🇮🇳 is like the Nigeria of Middle East.
