A lot of good places, just don't rush it. Take your time when looking for apartments, and If you can get the basics and feel safe, it also works temporarily while you find something more permanent

Salute to you Tommy! This is a dope change up from your typical videos. It’s definitely a lot cheaper living in the Caribbean especially if your salary is from the US. 2 things turn me off though- it’s always hot af and crime is nuts hence all the burglar bars everywhere. You get used to the paranoia after a while but I can’t do the heat 🥵 Visited Colombia recently and it reminded me why I left my island
@TommyBryson4 сағат бұрын
The heat depends, the area where we live we have alot of trees around the area which keeps things cool. Crime also depends, like I mentioned, we have bars but more of a precaution. Like how everyone has cameras and security systems.

Hey Tommy. Thanks for the tour. My cousin lives in Jarabacoa, La Vega, in one of the best neighborhoods in that province. She rents a 3-bedroom house for $275. Punta Cana is not the only safe place in DR, and if you want to live there, it's going to be very expensive.
@sojourneroftheland3 сағат бұрын
3br for 275? Did she supply the stove fridge and all the furniture? That price in 2024 is unbelievable...would love to know where exactly that is if possible
@franksoto10203 сағат бұрын
Hiya. She supplied everything. The house came empty. Once you buy your own fridge and stove, you can take them with you when you move.

That's what I keep telling people, Punta Cana and the capital are not the only places in Dr. It's like going to New York and wanting to live in manhattan, it's going to cost you alot

With an income of $1,000 or less, could have a good life here. Depending on what part

Hey great info! Thank you. I'm considering DR in the near future. Which areas or regions in DR offer those costs?
@sojourneroftheland3 сағат бұрын
Come on! You know you want to kick out your neighbour for a canadian subbed family to have a place in that building😂 Seriously this space is very doable for even the most spoiled north american...congrats on the new place. Such an amazing price. I always wonder why most places in RD have a cistern rather than a well...or even better a borehole (with crystal clear drinking water)? So much space now for you and your wife to grow all the plants you want👍🏽 enjoy!
@TommyBrysonСағат бұрын
The extra space for plants is awesome, however now we do face a challenge that we will be having to grow shade friendly plants. I need to look into that borehold idea, first time hearing about it

Tommy, nice house. I think you said "actually" maybe 500 times.

I remember you saying Puerto Rico. Didnt know you moved to DR. If you don't already have a video camparing the two places to living in the US and the pros and cons of each place, tjen can you makes one so I can see the difference? Seriously considering relocating! Thanks!
