Imagine if instead of bragging about the future of vertical farming lettuce universities focused on the impact of cleaning deadfall out of forests. You reduce forest fires and available carbon in the atmosphere at the same time. Unfortunately you remove reasons for the government to scare you and tax you for nothing so it will never happen 😊

What is your definition of "forest management". If it includes "logging" you might want to look up the attributes of a National Park and see if logging is included at all. Hint, it is not. Next solution? One that controls human activity, not fundamentally changing the basis of what a National Park is.

Nobody learned anything. Fort mac is absolutely packed with thick trees still and it almost burned down again in May this year 😂😂😂

If you look on Alberta wild fire maps and smoke maps the fire is still out of control and yesterday another possible evacuation yellow alert is up on Alberta emergency app.

@@dennis2376 i drove into lytton last summer intentionally disregarding the do not enter signage posted and the town itself was cleaned up of debris etc and there was some new infrastructure product stockpiled but pertaining to being rebuilt no is correct.

Hot embers landing on a rooftop can set a house on fire with the fire being hundreds of meters away. A permanent rooftop water system that runs in emergencies could do wonders in protecting forest communities.

@ttonAb2 then the embers will land in the yard and light the lawn on fire, then get to the house that way. The water idea could shield the whole house, and actively put out those hot embers, and actively cool the home.

You need a fire suppressant circle around ALL the towns that are in the wilderness. A stationary water wheel around the outskirts of all the wilderness towns. Comming from any source of water using upright pipes supplied by diesel powered water pumps.

All of the carbon tax should go to forest management , there's no better clean air initiative . The Provinces have a choice , you can keep that money in Province or give it to the Fed's . Alberta decided to give it to the Fed's .
