I have seen many videos, this one is the best using the LM7805 to by pass the 30 sec on/off spinning restriction of the smart hd.*update: The mosfit got really hot after 1 min run, i placed heatsink under but i think it wont last long.
@danhayes5225 Жыл бұрын
i don't think the 7805 is necessarily a mosfet but is just an old standard 5 volt regulator and that is it. Where are u getting this 30sec on/off spinning restriction.

how to make harddisk running continously , not stopping after 9 secs ?
@hankhomaomes28309 ай бұрын
Brother i have done everything as you've shown in the video however mine is stopping after 9 secs and not starting again unless i plug out and in again , i read one person mentioned that some pins needs to be connected in order to avoid "the stopping" like what people do in SATA HDD pin 3/5 or 2/6, which pins needs to be connected in PATA HDD?

3 and 5 must connected

Hi. I am using almost same pata hdd and giving it supply from a 12+5 volt adaptor instead of 7805 ic but hdd motor stops quickly like 15/20 secs. Any other hack you did in the hdd circuit board?

May be voltage drop, check both 5 & 12 v
@amitagrawal96722 жыл бұрын
@@TARIQLAB nope. It wasn't voltage drop. You missed the part where Data pins are required to be connected in order to run hdd constantly. I did that and now it's working perfectly.

can anyone figure out what he did with that 7805 regulator and why waste all that power rather than just apply 5v into the 5v terminal only and forget about the 12volts. It's not that sensitive to exactly 5v.
