I wish you all the best. The only thing that bothered me about retiring was in my head, all my life I had 1 or more jobs and all of a sudden I had none. I felt like I was cheating. Being active, work got in the way of my hobbies. I thought I'd have to go to 65 to get any of my pension, one day after turning 62, I found out I could get my pension at 62 but it would be smaller. Knowing I could get the lesser amount of S.S. at 62 also, I went into the boss's office 2 minutes after finding out and told him I was done. Yes, it's hard somedays when I have absolutely nothing to do after going so fast my whole life, but I've yet to regret my decision. Metal detecting, hiking, mountain biking still, kayaking, is why I went early, because I knew there'd be an expiration date on them from my age. I've always been poor, so it's been easy living on the small income too. So I feel you on your opening statement, and my hat should be here Wednesday.

Congratulations!! On retirement, busted ur butt all your life now you can do what you love. I really enjoy your videos, we have commented back and fourth on a few of your videos. Glad everything is going well, I am a horseman/cattleman/hunting guide. I believe you are in a great position one I could only dream of. To be able to track and hunt protect ranches and livestock. Could even contract out, see different ranches terrain meet people. I know a man down here in south Texas has a bunch of hounds, and when these game ranches down here have a hunter that wounds a animal and they can’t find it. He gets the call and him and his hounds and horses go, for a fee course ha ha ha. Just a thought glad to see mules are doing good too, should get yourself another one so it can learn from Agnus (my spelling is bad). Anyways great video keep it up Godbless

Depends on how close to houses your ranch is. I’ve had dogs do several thousands of dollars of damage to my outfit. I’m 14 miles from town , but have a few farms close by. The hired help there, tends to not control their dog population.

Brett, what's happened to your mule Agness, I haven't found the video where you talk about her she has been the main one you ride all the time I know she's passed but why? I sure enjoy all of your videos, I thought for awhile you were in Arizona but I did seea video where your said you lived in southwest New Mexico. That country sure does look like Arizona alot. You had mentioned in one video about going too young Arizona, can you tell me when that's gonna be??? I sure would like to meet you in person sometime.

If you don't mind me asking, why did you retire. I'm 60 y.o. and self employed like you were. Sometimes when work gets slow, I think about what it would be like to retire because I get bored if the lull lasts too long.

I think I kind of explain it in this video kzbin.info/www/bejne/n6rPdJWIp6dgn6s .. but I just lost interest and didn't like dealing with all the young engineers and how they do things ..and I want more time to ride my mules run my hounds and pack and go see places I haven't seen before ...no boredom here too much to do .. thanks ..

@@BrettVaughnB100 Oh, I see you're in N.M.--I went to NMSU college of electrical engineering and now live in Arizona. I hunt elk, javelina, and turkey (whenever I can get drawn for a tag.) I wouldn't be able to stay busy enough hunting. It would be cool to have mules and dogs like you do. I subscribed to your channel--keep up the good work!

I'm so sick of camp videos that nothing but infomercials for the latest garbage equipment or wiz bang tent. KZbin is flooded with grifters, these videos are genuine.
