Thanks for this video! We farm and are in the middle of our busy harvet time. As soon as I am finished watching this I will be making a couple of these recipes-- I am especially excited about the oven oatmeal, it will be perfect for him to grab as a hand held breakfast to eat on the walk to the shed (he does not like to take time to sit and eat this time of the year😁). Thanks again.

So many good recipes. I fix breakfast 2 to 4 times a week as we eat breakfast and dinner. We sleep thru lunch. I plan to make many of these recipes. Both scones, the dutch baby, several of the oatmeal recipes, breakfast casserole that I can remember right off the bat. This all looked delicious. I hope you filmed this over a long time period if you ate all this breakfast food at dinner. 17 recipes of only breakfast food are alot of recipes. I use the frozen rolls to make super easy cinnamon rolls. Melt butter, take frozen rolls and roll in the butter, then the cinnamon sugar. Place in a greased pan. Cover and let rise overnight. Bake in the morning at 350 for 10 to 15 minutes. A round cake pan holds 6, a 9x13 pan holds 12. I mix a powdered sugar glaze and drizzle over the rolls while hot. I have even used canned icing when I used to make 36 of these to take to my staff when I worked in a nursing home as a nurse. The aides use to love them and I could make 36 rolls in a very short time for less than $10 so it was a cheap treat to make for a large group. I tried to make them once or twice a month. Working with the elderly is very hard work and the staff did not get paid nearly enough for the hard work that they did. As a nurse, Then the House Supervisor, my aides made my job so much easier and they deserved all the treats and love that I could show them. I hope things are going well. We are doing good. Bennett is growing like a weed already.

@Christy Rouse - Hey Christy!! Thank you so much for stopping by and watching, and your support is truly appreciated! I wasn't sure if this one was *too* long, you just never know, but we definitely appreciate you watching! Girl, nothing wrong with that! I didn't eat a lot of oatmeal either, until I was probably around your age or a little younger and I was diagnosed with borderline high cholesterol. My doctor gave me a year to get it under control with diet and exercise and one thing I did was change my breakfast to oatmeal, 6 days a week (I "splurge" on Sunday mornings before church and have cereal, it's a treat!). Oatmeal is high in fiber and can help lower cholesterol, so it works for me. If you've never tried it, I would probably try the Easy Swiss oats first, and then maybe the Baked Oatmeal and see if you like the taste. There are varying degrees of oats, from the most processed (instant and then quick cook) to the more healthy ones (old-fashioned) and the super healthy but very chewy ones (steel cut oats). Tim actually won't eat steel cut oats, but he likes the other kinds! Being born and raised in the South, we both love and eat grits, but oatmeal is good for you and has a similar texture and feel. I hope you get a chance to give them a try sometime!! Take care, and have a wonderful and truly blessed day ---Stacy 😍💚

Hi Stacy! You know I learn something new every time I watch your videos and I love it! I should be always taking notes lol What a smart idea to twist the bacon! I’ll try that. We like ours crispy too! Every year we make monkey bread too but I always think I need to make some kind of breakfast casserole too so it’s not all sugar for breakfast. I’m going to try that breakfast casserole this year! I love how you pronounced croissant. It’s the correct way. I never say it that way but I should start. I bet my family will look at me in surprise! 😂

@Logues Life - Hey Krista!! Thank you so much for stopping by and watching (goodness, this one took up a chunk of your very precious time, so an extra big thanks and hugs!) - and for leaving just the NICEST comments! You are so sweet!! We thought the bacon twist was fun and gave it more chance to get crispy all the way around, LOL! Another subscriber left a comment to try putting slices of bread down between the cooking basket and the outer basket to catch the grease, which is a great tip (but I thought it was super easy to just open it up, take some wadded up paper towels and tongs and wipe out the grease with the paper towels). I think the overnight breakfast casserole would be GREAT to have along with the monkey bread at Christmas! Maybe try it out one weekend before hand or around Thanksgiving or Halloween and see if y'all like it. We love it, and every time I make it and take to my ladies Bible study, I come home empty handed, so it is always well received :) LOL on my pronunciations - I try, but usually do not succeed! I took 2 years of high school French, so I hope I get some of the french cooking terms right, but who knows, I still sound like a southerner or a redneck, haha!! Hope Carson is feeling better and you guys are getting some rest this weekend. Enjoy your Sabbath, and prayers for the week ahead for all of the Logues!! Hugs ---Stacy 😍💚

Second, even though I understand it in my brain, it often bugs me a wee bit that the thing is Instant and everyone is always saying, you can have dinner ready in 8 minutes! I want to tell them, no, actually you have to prep, saute, wait for it to come to pressure, then wait for it took and then wait for it to release pressure, so even though it's only 8 ACTIVE minutes, the total is closer to 30 or 40. Just the math/weirdo side of my brain that kicks in, LOL!! I hope you get a chance to try some of the recipes, and we would love to hear if they worked for you! Take care, and have a wonderful and truly blessed day ---Stacy 😍💚

@FrugalMommaNTheWoods - thanks Beth! I really like the croissant casserole because it's a nice meatless option, if you still want to put together a breakfast casserole at night and bake it the next morning :)

These all look so good! I've never actually had a dutch baby, I might give that one a try. I might try that breakfast casserole, but sub bacon for sausage, since I don't eat ground meat. That baked oatmeal is a good idea, I might do those as some snacks for my kids, we love Craisins here. I'm not a very good baker and have never managed to produce a good scone, maybe I'll try your butter trick to see if that helps. Those apple dumplings look pretty amazing I must say. Awesome video, thanks so much for sharing!

@The Pinterest Failure - Hey girlie, thanks so much for stopping by and watching, we definitely appreciate the support (especially on such a long video, LOL!). I've only tried a dutch baby a few times, but as long as you use a cast iron pan and make sure it's incredibly hot and pour the butter and batter in, it should work. It's just a puffy pancake, but it's very light and fluffy and quite good (with all of that butter!). There's a million overnight breakfast casseroles and you can totally sub out bacon for the meat, or leave it out altogether. In fact, that's sort of what the croissant casserole is, just a sweet breakfast casserole with eggs and cheese and no meat. They are great to put together the night before, and let everything soak in, in the fridge overnight, and then bake the next morning. If you have family over for a weekend or the holidays, it's a great time saver. I hope you get a chance to try one of them, and especially the baked oatmeal if your kids like Craisins, you can add as many as you want (and I added more, as you saw!). Have fun, and thanks again for the support and lovely comments!! Take care, and have a wonderful and truly blessed day ---Stacy 😍💚

@Debbie Reilly - Hi Debbie! Aww, thank you so much for stopping by and watching all of these, and I'm so happy to hear that several of them interest you! I know you and your sister would love most of these, if you get a chance to try them, and how kind and thoughtful of you to make something for your elderly neighbors. I know they are blessed to have you looking out for them! If you like meat in your breakfast casserole, then definitely make the one with breakfast sausage and eggs, but if you don't want meat, then try the croissant one. Both are simple and easy to make the night before, put in the fridge (the egg/milk custard mixture will soak into the bread) and then bake the next morning. So good and so easy!! If you try the oatmeal for your neighbors, I would probably try the baked oatmeal first, as that is easy to cut and portion out and then they can heat it up in the microwave and add whatever they like (butter, honey, nuts, milk, etc). I am so glad that you are enjoying the content, that's awesome!! Take care, and have a wonderful and truly blessed day ---Stacy 😍💚

@BnB Temple - Hey there Barb!! Thanks so much for stopping by and watching - and you definitely came up with a fantastic descriptor, marathon is truly what this one is, LOL! I've been calling it super-sized, but it's definitely a marathon and not a sprint, hehe! Ooh, I hope you get a chance to try one of the scones, and that you both love them! I have found that freezing and grating the butter works really well for me with scones. We ADORE those sticky buns, and if I could, I would definitely make them more often, but we splurge enough as it is on just about every other food category, so we've agreed to limit them as our annual Christmas treat. They are so good though, I hope you get to try them too :) So glad to hear that you liked the skillet chicken with asparagus and mushrooms! That one was a favorite here too, so light but really flavorful :) If y'all like pasta, be sure to try the easy Tuscan Chicken pasta one in the same 4 skillet chicken video, it's really good and doubled (I usually make the full amount in the Instant Pot), it makes a great dish for company, or to take to someone who has had a baby or suffered a loss and you just want to offer them comfort food. Thanks again for the support and lovely feedback!! Take care, and have a wonderful and truly blessed day ---Stacy 😍💚

Thanks for the suggestion on the Cuisinart Griddler waffle plates…I’ve tried them twice, using the Joy of Cooking waffle recipe (same as my Mom used, and it’s her old cookbook) and no success…I’ll give it one more try before I just buy a regular waffle iron. For me, it either overflows, or is too small, and the waffles are never crispy, they’re mushy and awful. I’ve never had that recipe go wrong before. Going to go check waffle iron prices on Amazon, lol…I love waffles so much.
@LetsCookYall3 жыл бұрын
@Molly Dye - Hi Molly! Thank you for stopping by and watching! I do love my Cuisinart griddler, and like being able to have both the regular grill plates and the optional, add-on waffle plates, but I do agree - they don't produce the optimal crispy waffle. A stand alone waffle maker will definitely produce a better waffle, but I love the convenience of not having another full sized appliance to store. I don't make waffles often enough to justify the space, so it's a trade-off that I'm willing to live with. If I made them more often, I would definitely get a small Belgian waffle maker to get that thicker and crisper waffle. I love them too, mostly as an avenue for lots of maple syrup and butter (hence why I don't make them all that often, they are just a calorie laden feast for me, LOL!). Take care and have a wonderful and truly blessed day ---Stacy 😍💚

@@LetsCookYall Thanks so much, Stacy! We’re blessed in that we do have a lot of storage space, so could fit in a regular waffle iron. I keep forgetting that I have the Griddler to use for sandwiches, etc.! Thanks for letting me know that you have the same issue with waffles on yours…and I do like crispy waffles. Agreed that they are a total calorie bomb 💣 and we don’t have them that often, but when we do, I want them to be good, lol. @Dawn Montoya - LOL, Dawn! Well, we live in an area where there are several small towns together, so it was only about a 20-30 minute drive, but still. I'd just leave them out next time (Tim is not a huge raisin, or craisin, fan really, but he will eat them!). I think you should DEFINITELY try the chocolate cherry scones. I bet you will love them! @Penny Fine - Hi Penny, and welcome!! Thank you so much for stopping by our channel, and for taking the time to watch and leave us a comment. We are so glad you are here, and we hope that you will enjoy the content on our channel. 💖💜 We are a household of two, so I have never in my life made 50 of anything, LOL! If I make a batch of pancakes or waffles and we have any left, I usually flash freeze (freeze on a cookie sheet until solid enough or usually, I just put them in a ziplock freezer bag and be sure to separate each one with a piece of parchment paper, so they don't stick together), and freeze. Since it's just the two of us and there aren't a lot left, we always eat them within a couple of weeks. I would imagine that you could freeze them up to a few months, maybe 3 months, but again, I have never tried so I can't really speak to that with any first hand knowledge.
