Today I am trying out a different hydraulic set up for my Blue Diamond brush cutter that is mounted to the Kubota KX040-4 Mini Excavator. Lets see if we can make this thing a little more productive!

Do you have a video about the valve brake that you're talking about?
@DirtAndRocks2 ай бұрын
I don't think so. It is right on the front of the valve block when you open up the compartment on the right side of the machine. This video shows it kzbin.info/www/bejne/iJWWaWWoi9iDo9Usi=Nzr_yZToPvnWEhel

How many miles of road do you have to keep mowed…. Thanks for sharing.

on this property, that road rises and turns a bit, so if you don't keep it cut about 500 feet down the road, drivers cannot see traffic as they are trying to get on the road. The county only does the ditches, so it leaves blind spots when the weeds are tall. Fortunately, I don't do a lot on the roads. Most of the time I am doing along driveways, ponds, hedgerows, or clearing underbrush from forested areas. Thank you for watching and commenting, always look forward to your questions :)

What do charge for brush clearing?
@DirtAndRocks2 ай бұрын
I usually charge by the job so I don't have feel like I am in a rush. If you are charging hourly, I would add 20-30% to the hourly rate to cover the extra wear and tear

What size cutter is that one? How do you price this type of work? I know it is not cut and dry.

this one is a 36". It is just right for the 4 ton machine IMHO. The excavator doesn't get too tippy when you stretch it out there. I use a standard hourly rate, usually with a 4 hour minimum, sometimes a full 8 hour minimum if the job is farther away. I look at the jobs ahead of time, and if there is a bunch of stuff in there that I cannot cut, I refer it out to someone with a forestry mulcher. I don't take stuff that will likely tear up my equipment. thanks so much for watching 😀
