Next time with the big log squeeze it up against the blade with your bucket. And lift the blade. You can tote much heavier and bigger objects at a lower center point of gravity in relation to your machine. Also I wouldn’t advise “walking” the machine. I know it’s fun, but don’t make a tired mistake one day. Your toes are not worth it. And any machine big or small is jerky. It depends on how you run a machine and how well you know it to make them run smooth, not just the minis. Last tip, you can use a track as a winch if you ever needed. Linemen pull cables by lifting one track off of the ground and attaching rope to the cable. Once one rotation around the tracks is complete, you can then just hold the track rotation continuously pulling the line in effortlessly. If that makes sense.

That would be the perfect machine to build a garden railroad. You certainly have a big enough yard for it. Some people put a trailer hitch on their dozer blade so they can move small trailers around their property, also for hauling materials or tools around their property. Cotton top has a good video on doing that. There are also a few videos of people on KZbin hauling dump trailers around with their excavator.

That was great! Even got the wife laughing. And yea I think your pressure is set to low it should have picked up that side by side easily, especially with you not on it. It can be adjusted easily by turning the pressure relief valve but you should use a gauge when doing that. My H12 looks nearly identical to your machine and it would have pulled itself over before giving up lol. It stopped pulling because it reached the limit of its relief setting.

That would probably lift that thing up if you reset the overpressure valve on your pump or on your valve body. I did that to a floor jack to lift a few hundred more lbs. Also change your lifting point wrap a rope around the boom where it says Toyota. It should lift it from there. Also, if you take the bucket off you would have a few extra more pounds that it could lift .

Good video. Thanks for sharing • Please. . .get ramps, have ramps, and use ramps with your trailer. If you misjudge the angle that it's at when loading or unloading, the center of gravity could shift sufficiently while your repositioning the bucket 180 degrees, and topple the machine. • The log-moving op is pretty impressive. When you're doing that for a couple hours or more with big logs, you might see if you can find a way to temporarily add some additional counterweight. • Totally agree. Jerkiness and smoothness is largely dependent on the operator's technique, whether jerky and aggressive, or smooth. • Jack alternative for the trailers, ATV's, riding mowers, and maybe SxS. 👍 For that General SxS, would you be able to lift one of the back corners by getting up under the suspension for it? • Digging holes. Useful and potentially fun. Not bad, little digger. 🙂 • Digging a pond? Hmmm, keep it small, like a koi pond or a watering hole that you can pump some creek/well water into. I wouldn't try building an earthworks dam to contain a creek, but you do you. 😉 • Thanks for being that random eccentric guy in the neighborhood who digs holes in his yard at night with a mini excavator. 🤪 • Oh, and you left out trail cutting (from your video, 3 months after this one). Sorry, I'm going through these a bit out randomly, based on what catches my eye. 😉 And keep in mind that using the mini excavator sure beats putting on gloves, grabbing some hand implements like chainsaws and loppers, and doing it manually. Some more ideas: • Light to moderate snow plowing driveways? • Carry a cooler with lunch and beverages to your work spot for the day? • And don't forget the attachments and their various uses.
