@@MachiaveIIi25 He does mean, you let your char run in a green room. Then you will use in a video software the greenscrean (crhomakey) tool to remove the green color and replace it with the room. You build 2 groups in Daz3d. One group is the room one group the scene. But... if you have environment light it will be complicated... To get the perfect same light ;)...

I keep hearing this from Daz Studio users, even with GPU rendering. That really shouldn't be the case. I think the problem is optimization. None of the Daz scenes or characters are optimized for animation. None of them. There's just way too many heavy textures in everything, which overloads most GPU engines and that means it has to call on the much slower CPU for help without of memory textures and geometry. This will slow down the renders to a crawl. In Blender, for example, using the Cycles GPU render engine with optimized scenes, I've never seen any HD render take longer than 30 to 50 seconds per frame, and that's including motion blur, dof, and SSS. Of course, I only render a minimal number of samples and have the powerful Intel denoising node take care of the rest.

It goes faster if you make it a small resolution render and especially if you turn off the photo realism, but yeah I agree, it's not practical to render video in daz3d.

If you render characters separate from the background and composite later..it helps. Also using noise filter saves a ton of time. Check some of my videos... I can render a frame in few seconds..maybe 10~15 at the most.

@@jamminjago Well, I suppose if you use a powerful GPU with lots of VRAM and cut down on the number of textures in the scene, it would go much faster. Optimization would be key. The thing is, some of the textures in Daz scenes are absurdly large and there's so many of them, the GPU has to make a calculation each time it encounters a new bit of geometry or texture map. Usually, texture maps are the killer for GPU rendering, not geometry. So if you could maybe render the background out first as a large scale render one time, then use that as the environment map, it would save you literally hours and hours of render time. I know Daz has denoising, but I don't know how optimized it really is. It's always a good idea to use denoising though. Render out the environment as a spherical map though. That's one way to do it. If you are rendering only a character, render time will be very fast.

I've been using Daz for more than 3 years and can surely say this project is just money-milking crap. It doesn't has any reasonable 3D tool inside except Iray engine, which give you the best quality. But even so it is not their product. Without Iray and click/render assets Daz will die. I hope most people will stay away from this soft, because it is just a waste of their time. You will get more profit learning C4D, Maya, blender.

I am a long time user of DAZ products, after a long time hiatus, I decided to reinstall my products. I downloaded the new app and found, no matter what I did it would not download DAZ studio. I turned to the older download manager and it too failed to download DAZ studio, I found this unusual as it was in the past, a tried and true method of installing DAZ products. So now I'm sitting on years of software and model purchases on the DAZ website I paid for, that I can't use. Hmmm nice add!

You need a strong graphiccard for daz3d, 6GB or more on it is imporant, also you should have min.! 32GB Ram, I upgraded to 64GB Ram, because 32 was too less, I have a lot stuff in my scene. Daz3d need a lot ram, to save all the textures.

DAZ 3-D you're so awesome even when a character on the store isn't up to SPECS like it's not that great of a character Or you find props that 10 years old...that you can buy ...when you use DAZ for a while and start to work with it you realize that these characters kind of kind of add to a theme that is the whole of Daz...which includeds uncountable amounts of perfect things of course... But many old things like 10 years old which is neat being able to buy stuff that looks so vintage.... From a 3-D model perspective ..but still has has awesome design even the old stuff or maybe the character doesn't look that good but the clothes look good....i feel everybody that uploads stuff to buy on DAZ Seems to know about Expressing IDEAS AND ARTISTIC INTENTION IN THEIR PROMO IMAGES....see like the 3d living room model for example always really look like living rooms...👊😎'daz your so awesome!... So how can I set up an entire scene in DAZ Studio? How can I pose two or more characters together and put them in an environment? Can I create special effects such as characters with superpowers or magical powers? (e.g., splashing/swirling water, blowing/swirling fire, gust of wind, magical lights/clouds surrounding a character, etc.) I’m not interested in animation. I just want to create a still image of the scene that I have in mind. Do you have any tutorials on that?

Oh I'll tell what I can do with it. With IK chains that can't hold targets in place, with cloth physics that explodes the mesh regardless of settings, with fur and hairs that require shitload of VRAM and rendering time.

I would say it is easier to render a non-human character. But I don't think DAZ Studio comes with it. I use DAZ Studio 4.15 Pro, btw.

It would be great if Gen 3 and 8 Figures could take motion capture files, if someone knows how then please tell me. And another vote for a better render solution. Iray is great but not feasible for animation unless you have a thousand dollar graphic card.

I can render pretty fast with a cheaper 1070 card..Ive done it with my mixamojo videos. With mixamojo you can import mixamo animations easily. What other mocap data would you consider importing to daz? Perception neuron? Rokoko? Ipisoft? Xsens? :)

After all these years, DAZ figures still look completely unconvincing. They are still fiddly to setup and animate. They load with ridiculous over-shiny specular highlights (why?) and it takes hours to get even 15 seconds of vaguely believable animation. The rendering speed is appallingly slow. The whole thing is primitive given we are in 2020.

ja das Problem ist selbst für neuste PCs mit sehr guten Grafikkarten sind Animationsrender wie diese unmöglich besonders wenn man iray rendert - selbst Bilder mit einer guten Auflösung brauchen Stunden - man kann leider nicht mit einem 2ten oder 3ten PC verteilt im LAN rendern wie es mit dem add on reality möglich ist. die Renderengine ist einfach zu langsam.

Daz 3d can be better than Ai but if they focus on make the render environments, more fast and if it take less time on images render. They need more updates for a friendly controls or menus for to find more easy the content and the tools. Even the g9 need a pose tool for g9 eyes. Daz 3d even they can eat the ai as a pice of cake if they add some ai tools for to create environments and let the artist mix the ai environments with the genesis models 😊 daz3d can create a mini 3d worlds if they update daz for to make faster the renders when we use environments. If they work on updates Daz3d could be more friendly with all video cards.

Totally cool characters and assets but very steep learning curve with poor tutorials. You need a high-end computer and graphic card and lots of money to get the stuff you want. The animation we see in this promo clip is pretty much unattainable for 99.9% of DAZ 3D users.

There is a timeline at the bottom of the screen, try moving the cursor down it, then move the camera around or change the pose of your figure. Now move the cursor back and you should have an animation

Daz is an excellent product, but the company, while trying to make things simple for themselves, have made their products nearly impossible to purchase. Costumer service is almost nonexistent.

Any trailers made by there own company is never to be taken seriously! So don't fall for it! Is not as simple as they make it to be! You will be overwhelmed with tons of complications beyond your scope of searching for something that is actually easy or supposed to be! You better off learning to do this for real rather than finding shortcuts!

I can’t say that I agree, I’ve learned this software inside out in just six months, never used a 3d software in my life before, tutorials can be found on the daz store for pretty much everything
