I really just don't understand. Daz 3D is all about 3D models, why introduce an AI art generator? ; You could have implemented AI in a useful way, for example to fill render noise. Or just to make interesting filters. But why just a normal image generator that can be done better with way more freedom anywhere else?

Daz has been focused on creating features no one wants for years now. All while the software is critically antiquated, still full of bugs and/or missing functionality, miserable UI, etc. I never understood this trend. There is probably some award for the most mismanaged software and Daz is clearly going for it.

This is embarrassing, after watching your desperate floundering with NFTs and now this. You clearly have no direction for the company and are just trying everything for a quick buck, when all people want are real built-in animation tools and multi-threading for an actually usable viewport. AI assistance in studio would be great if it was actually in service of something, but there is no reason that anybody should be picking up Daz, and everyone who is still stuck on it should be doing their best to move to Blender/C4D/Maya. Well, they use the same trained datasets just infuse them with DAZ generated LoRas I guess and some controlnet wizardry for poses. Now, control over AI is a relative thing. More towards the some than the full. That is indicated by a 6 fingered Vicky 9.

The only use for a 2D AI solution would be within studio as a renderer/a replacement for Iray where it takes the scene I've created and iterates overtop. Otherwise the need for AI components is ENTIRELY related to 3D controls (easier object and character placement, natural language morph dial controls, natural language camera control) but that's much much harder work as you guys know

In Daz Studio I won't get AI errors. Fingers, arms, legs, text, tool, canvas, inpainting, etc... DAZ AI is at least a year behind the other sites. If I use PS and filters or AI I want to make my scene look like it's not from Daz studio but it's realistic or shift it to a special painting style.

There are already countless tools like this out there that do 10x better work than Daz could ever dream of achieving. I recommend you invest in AI tools that actually help with artists creating 3D art, like improved rendering with less noise. Or how about some kind of AI that can generate character poses based on text. Or better yet, entire scenes within the viewport crafted by AI based on text utilizing the assets owned in library. There are many possibilities to make AI right for Daz, but this is not it, I believe.

This is not what I expected when I saw Daz and AI. I figured they'd use AI to help create faster renders, allowing AI to do some of the heavy lifting for Iray. Maybe use the AI to take the render and make it more cinematic, or help with some frame interpolation. This is just a much slower image generator than what everyone else has.

​@@DarkSalome No that is a fact. The lawsuits come into play because of the models being trained on protected materials, and the legality of that is what is in question. If Daz trained a model using property they own it is 100% legal, and as far as who would own the copyright to those generated images it would fall to the owner of the images used for training. At least as it stands so far since precedent has not yet been set, and it seems no court is in any rush to do so either. So as I previously said. If they are training the model on their own content they are free to do whatever they want. To add however. There is a catch. The users are not free to do as they wish with the generated images because technically Daz owns them as they were created using Renders that Daz owns.

Daz 3D seams to have lost direction, 3D is not AI, AI uses other peoples skill and talents to create images note that they use the images without the consent of original producers. DAZ 3D will quite willingly take your money to purchase assets then destroy the reason for purchasing those assets.

To be fair, I've seen many people in the 3D modeling community look-down on DAZ/Poser of doing the same thing; using other people's skills and creativity to customize their own. I legit had fellow game designer classmates in college tell me right to my face that I was just being lazy and throwing away money to play "digital dress-up dollies" when I could be creating my own models and assets myself.

I have tickets open, not responded to since September last year. As a professional DAZ user I have been very excited at the prospect of AI for DAZ Studio. Such a tool to generate charater poses, 3D objects, 3D DAZ scenes and animations. Such a tool would leave the rest of generative AI for dead. It is not excederation to say it would be a complete game changer. This however is not it. This is (2D) stable diffusion trained with DAZ models. Perhaps it has some value in post, to modify a rendered DAZ scene. It has absolutely no value to me. It is an inferior version of the existing 2D generative AI tools that forces you to have a distinctive (ie unrealistic) DAZ style to your characters. Apart from modifying up an existing work who would want this and why??! Let me address the DAZ developers. You have one of the best 3D products and ecosystems. This product loses everything that is good about that product and why people use it. Please develop 3D AI for DAZ. Don't waste your time and ours with a 2D product. We want the output of DAZ AI to be fully rigged and structured 3D files, which we will alter and render ourselves.

I am not against AI but do not see the need for this, something useful like using Openpose to create poses from images and videos, or MIDAS depth, normal map creation, seamless texture creation, upscaling, RIFE interpolation built into D|S would have been handy, even inpainting on existing renders if using image diffusion, relighting etc

Can we get a native Daz LINUX port please? I'm DYING to use Linux, and Daz is holding me back. AI is nothing to do with anything. I wonder if you guys finally speeded Daz up, A GREAT THING, in order to generate more AI-training images? Which is an indirect plus, I suppose. Please keep improving performance. And, Daz is way falling behind the competition, where is Daz 5? Why are you working on AI image-generators?

Went ahead and subscribed to this to see the "premium" UI differences. There are none. There is no ability to choose an environment. Or use layered resources as described You get 2 characters (I have dozens in my library). The promised layering feature is not there. I understand some features are out there and due for future release. But you folks really should have just not started asking for subscriptions until you have a better set of features fleshed it. It should... Allow me to choose any model I own in my library Pose it local and send the AI engine that pose and character as a starting point. Allow me to choose and add props. Let us render it in various engines, like TOON shader or simply define a style.

This was the exact wrong thing to do. Dezgo, OpenAI, and Midjourney will crush anything you attempt to cobble together in the text-to-image realm. INSTEAD, you should be working on text-to-3D, where a user types in "John grabs the railing" and the AI auto-poses the characters or "Make a pirate ship" and it builds one from scratch. You could also do an image-to-3D where it reverse-engineers a photo and turns it into a 3D object. You will--never--compete with the big boys by offering "DAZ style" artwork. We've been trying to upgrade DAZ results for a decade. Now, we can just leave DAZ and make images in a heartbeat with no GPU required. Your only shot to survive the AI revolution is to marshal your 3D modeling skills to generate objects for video games and sketches that we can use elsewhere for image-to-image.

You really need to rethink this. Before you lose not only your long time fan base but people who would also like to step into this space and give it a try. It seems like you’re trying anything in hopes it sticks. This ain’t it man. Some animation tools would’ve been great, something people can actually use and find beneficial. These companies are so disconnected from their audience. What a shame to see.

They are cutting the throats of the artists that sell their 3d assets through them. As well as those that sell things like brushes and 2d textures. It is a huge middle finger to every and any artist that has contributed to their growth.

I hope they will post where they will be selling their items. I will not be using this AI tool at all. I rather put the money in supporting the artists that have taken the time to make an asset.
