I currently own the old design 2012 model and although I like it I need more control over the electronics via the steering wheel, I will be getting the new one in a few months I think.

Nice to see some attempt to kill off button heavy interior. Now the Astra needs the same. Many company car owners have families and the mondeo still has a better rear package even if its in need of a big facelift to take on the BMW3. Good praise from Jag owners of the quality feel compared to their own cars.

Vauxhall has a history of radically changing front ends for facelifts. This devalues the pre-facelift models. It's a clever facelift in the way that it doesn't look too different from the old one, so that you would recognise it. But the wide grille looks very outgoing and premium, something I'd expect on a Merc.

No other car like it? Two words old man - Audi Q7. As well as Q3, Q5 and A1. That boot design is Audi's design feature. I suggest you do your homework.

3 words dufus. You mean VW, Seat, Skoda (with an Audi badge stuck on the front) I suggest you stop paying for overpriced cars that are something else underneath. If you want quality try buying a Merc or BMW

That is not a design from anyone, its a legal requirement for car manufacturers that position lights are to be always visible no matter if the back door is opened or closed, so obviously if your tail lights are on the door you have to install another ones inside for legal purposes. Many cars do it that way, its easyer than cuting out half the door so that tail lights would stay fixed on car back
