I got the REI Merino base layer , a Merino wool hoodie and a North face Bionic Poly hoodie. The wool base and North face shell is light and great down to 40 and the mid layer goes on for lower temps. Minus 33 wool hiking socks solved my cold foot problem. And Hestra leather glove for 32F and under.

Great video, thanks for the tips. Most of my biking clothes are for summer and proper winter. I don't have much for the cold autumn or spring mornings (0-5 celsius). When commuting in Jeans or lighter pants in general and the chill gets through to your private parts I noticed that wearing waterproof velcro chaps on top of the pants really helps with the wind chill. I think Vaude has also padded chaps if you really want to go nuts with the winter stuff.

Never thought of that but yeah that seems like a great way to keep the cold wind off your legs! I would probably explore this option if it got any colder here. Im sure others can implement this in colder environments. Thanks for sharing! Cheers!

I got a Patagonia MicroPuff for commuting and I feel the same with down/syntetic jackets. Amazing, light and warm.

Great video! Yeah, I’m still trying to find the perfect bag for my commute. I’ve been doing the backpack for the last year but it’s not ideal, especially when it gets hot. I recently put on a front rack and a wald basket and got a bag made for the basket. I really love that setup but it doesn’t fit my laptop well. Maybe I’ll try a porteur style rack and bag next.
